  1. Once you’re in it, you’re in it. Look at that moisture train back to Ohio and West Virginia that has to ride up through New England still.
  2. Ha yeah I was thinking of this run from a week ago.... this was also a prolonged deal on the model but don't think it's aged well, lol. Just weird to see a couple runs with 5-10" of rainfall from the Euro on different events.
  3. Yeah just like those 5-10" rain amounts forecast this week by the EURO, lol. It's had some odd ball really wet runs recently. Although these storm total amounts are pretty insane even for a random model run. Couple months worth of rain.
  4. Yeah, mean UVV's at -20.9 in the DGZ layer, saturated to 300mb...and that's a big area of upward motion in that 400-700mb layer. Someone is pounding out ratios there. Probably one of those 30-40dbz comma heads where you can pick up a foot in like 4 hours.
  5. Still raining steadily.... the PWS stations between Stowe and Waterbury are all at 1.4-2.0" range so far today. Pretty solid rain event.
  6. I'm with you. There was an exchange with Dendrite one night this summer that seemed like he was giving Dendrite props for figuring it out. Doesn't matter, I feel like anyone banned from the forum for the old political forum should be allowed back into the weather side. But then he was referencing some snow events where he lived in SNH a while back and that sounds more like Birving. We'll never know for sure, ha. But the guy just wants to talk weather like the rest of us. Who cares in the end as fun as it is.
  7. That's beautiful. Dendrite Growth Zone right smack in the middle of that incredible lift. Going to be pouring fat flakes in that.
  8. 53F What a freakin rainer. Closest PWS at 1.6” so far. Going to be widespread 1.5-2.0” with this one between BTV-MVL-MPV triangle.
  9. Wow did it pour last night. 1.08” at the Stowe CoCoRAHS (I haven’t gone outside yet). A good shot of rain left today with maybe another 0.5-0.75” today?
  10. Tomorrow looks interesting... could be a good rainer. Congrats SNE on the temps tomorrow.
  11. Man, the 36 hour modeled precip totals for the 12z runs at MVL are: GGEM... 1.90” GFS... 1.85” ECM... 1.43” We are going to be above normal October precip at the ASOS by Tuesday morning if those are correct.
  12. Just started raining at the mountain. Nothing like a 46F rain to make for a nice day.
  13. Good shot of rain coming over the next day or two.
  14. Same here. 45F and thick cloud deck starting around 3,000ft.
  15. Never have been disappointed with foliage in NVT. Awesome shot of the pond, Borderwx. That’s gotta be one of the coldest locations in VT, lol.
  16. What do you do when you aren’t playing October baseball? Visit the Picnic Tables at the top of Stowe.
  17. That's sweet. Radiators mount up. 34F here as warmth vacates the surface.
  18. 35F on the car arriving home after dinner. Feels cold for 8:45pm.
  19. Last year was as good as it gets. Torch and then switch flipped to winter. We did like +17, +20, +19 type days in the first half of October...then it was snowing and sticking in town like 4 days later with several highs in the 30s type days. We missed out on a month of highs of 52F, it was great. 60s and 70s to 30s and 40s for highs.
  20. Looks like it snowed outside the grass is so white. 27F with a hard freeze.
  21. Min of 30F so far, now back to 32F... we freeze.
  22. Upper elevations looked nicetoday. Might be past peak foliage at 2,500ft+ but plenty of good color left on the whole.
  23. Ha I had the same thought freezing my ass off in the base area at 42F. There is literally no reason for the temperature to be between 32F and 60F during the daytime. Either snow or be shorts weather, lol.
  24. Cold day on the mountain. Had some decent glazing from freezing mist/drizzle around 10-11am and then rime icing at the highest elevations. Freezing mist and drizzle icing the vegetation. Rime icing.
