  1. EPS didn't look too bad. Definitely not like the OP though there were a few of those type solutions in there. Actually ticked up a bit from 6z though.
  2. lol, thanks man, it is a nice winter day. No one is going to say it's deep winter, but you take what you can get. Don't get any closer to the fire my friend or you'll melt
  3. Yup its been clear since some models had snow in NNE yesterday, ha.
  4. That's when it's time to go back outside . Beautiful bluebird winter day outside, definitely a different mood than on the forum. Wait for Alex to post some Bretton Woods shots and how much fun his guests are having too, ha.
  5. This is what's happening... some just want some snow, others start saying its not impressive. Every possible event going forward is just going to be a bloodbath, .
  6. Honestly as 40/70 said the other day, this is when people get real pissy and start trolling, wishing for others to rain and feel their suffering, etc. The board starts going down hill fast in the shitty winters .
  7. Yeah that one is snow to slop and rain on that run. We know no one wants to see up and in get plastered again like in December, ha.
  8. GGEM and GFS generally held from 00z.
  9. Beautiful sunny day finally on the hill. Presidentials rising above clouds to the north, and south side is Franconia Notch area.
  10. The individual ensembles are all over the place. These maps are largely BS but show the spread. The forum just needs a P21.
  11. Hey at least you're honest about it, ha. GFS/GGEM/EURO/ICON all offer hope but dangerous because it's still 5 days away. Way out there in la la model land.
  12. Yeah beautiful morning. Everything pasted white again. Trees looked beautiful from town to the mountain. Alpenglow this morning was on point... whole east side just glowing pink.
  13. The EURO and GGEM aren't as big but are showing warning level snows too. The three big models all have a decent snow at this point for NNE in some fashion. It's not completely on its own. I'm not saying it's going to happen per se but everyone is just so gun-shy they will toss everything all the time at this point.
  14. Just a hunch the Mainers would sign for this.
  15. Yeah been a snowy vibe evening. We’ve got a standing wave going this evening with steadier snows down into town than at the mountain, oddly enough. Driving through the galaxy big flakes this evening. Mountain has gained about 4” of dense upslope last day or so.
  16. I shouldn’t have looked at that, ha ha. 18-24”. Sensibly that’s a bit different than 4-5 days of rain on the GGEM.
  17. Look on the bright side, at least the NW flow and high RH was able to squeeze out some snow last night, ha. Orographic dense 3.5-4" past 30 hours or so.
  18. Yes, 100% and this is the difficulty of having a discussion where climate change enters the chat. Things can be getting warmer BUT also not be the main cause of our ratter winter so far. Both of those statements can be true. Climate change is not putting a mean upper level trough over the inter mountain west with above normal heights over us. That’s just a shitty draw on a pattern that does not want to budge.
  19. It is an absolute banner winter out west though. Lake Tahoe, Alta/Jackson, Steamboat, etc. When I think climate change, I think lack of snows east and west. To me when the Sierra to Wasatch to Tetons to Rockies are having absolutely ridiculous seasons to date snowfall wise, that’s just a persistent trough being situated in the wrong place. Its the classic snowy west and not snowy east… trough/ridge combo. There is a ying to our yang.
  20. Why not? 925mb temps are colder up near Springfield than HFD? You get Wxbell too now?!
