  1. 3k NAM same time. Seems NWS Pitt isn’t favoring that look above given the text of the watch for the mountains. LWX posted watches for the I81 counties in NVA and MD.
  2. Whouda thought we’d have 2 accumulating events in January 10 days ago?
  3. Nice to see the RGEM continue the 00z trend. Getting excited for McHenry this weekend.
  4. 3k is all frozen for Garrett. Thump of heavy snow then sleet/freezing rain then back to snow. I really hope its right.
  5. High impact event for 81, northern crew, and mountains. Will be interesting to see if rest of 00z suit follows.
  6. I had to rub my eyes to make sure I was reading that map correctly. Pure WOOOOOOOOF HONNKKK WOOOOF look right there.
  7. Yeah man, I love these small "unexpected" events that we don't incessantly track for 2 weeks. Great stats padder and nice to look outside at.
  8. Well this thread got weird. Anywho, just got in from a work event and was surprised to see sidestreets getting snow covered around here. Love seeing the trees getting a refresh of snow. Overperformer in my book but I'm an optimist and Beachin' said this snow doesn't count for me.
  9. Yeah we're hosting some friends at our place in McHenry this weekend...we had plans to ski this weekend but will probably go on Sunday since it'll flip back to snow on overnight into Sunday in Deep Creek. The mountains won't stay frozen the whole time...I expect a period of rain especially for the highest elevations in WV. CAD doesn't hold on long at the highest elevations in these setups when we have an inland runner with a strong WAA push. We'll flip to rain Saturday night if I had to guess.
  10. Here's the text of the WSWatch for the mountains...should be a fun event there this weekend...hoping this afternoon's Euro with the warmer solution isn't right. 11. Orientation of the TPV slightly different on the 6z than 00z which allows for height rises along the EC, hence a "warmer" solution. Something to pay attention to today for the mountains/81/north crew.
  12. I also think there’s something to be said about a winter where we start cashing in on small events like this...makes the winter more memorable for the number of events and it also tells me we’ve turned the corner into patterns that want to work out for us. /weenie/
  13. This will be a good stats padder and may put Bristow in the lead in the snowfall contest.
  14. 12k NAM looks good for a general 1-2” around the region.
  15. Yup, that's a high impact event especially for the 81 corridor, northern tier, and mountains.
  16. It does seem anytime Bob poo poos an event, the opposite happens. Keep it up Bob!
  17. Is it me or does it seem to be trending south too? A few days ago it was targeting Central PA/North Jersey/etc and now has accumulating snow in the mountains of NC. Maybe a good sign for the weekend event?
  18. I'll be in McHenry this weekend...Euro is almost, if not all, frozen out there. And those lows Monday morning are pretty wild.
  19. Low single digits even in the cities Monday morning. Well below 0 in the mountains.
