I went back to the historical data from our weather station there and for the last four years, the last freeze was: 2017 - 5/12 2018 - 5/11 2019 - 4/16 2020 - 5/11 It’s about four to six weeks between locations I’d say. While trees are starting to leaf out in late April/early May, they aren’t fully leafed until the last week of May. It’s really quite stark driving from Frostburg crossing into Garrett County in early/mid May.

Great spring day yesterday. Went to Mt Vernon with family visiting from out of town and spent the evening in Old Town for dinner. It was packed which was nice to see. Today should be an even nicer day.

I got the 1st Moderna shot last week...only reaction was a sore arm. That is, until today. I've developed an itchy rash in my upper arm where I got the shot & and its pretty swollen. My armpit is sensitive to the touch, too. Dr. Google says its "COVID arm" which some people develop about a week after the 1st shot. Its harmless apparently but I wonder if it forebodes a bigger reaction to the 2nd shot. ETA: Dr. Google says no bearing on the 2nd shot.

Ugh, that's the worst. I'm hoping we don't have a similar late cold snap like last year. It actually snowed almost 2" in early May in Deep Creek last year. Trees really don't fully open until mid to late May there which is so odd to see compared to here. Quick glance at the GFS and it says all is good through early April

Yeah, those were the days apparently. When we got new appliances at deep creek, it took 3 days to arrive. Now I’d be thrilled with 3 weeks lol
