  1. Noticed the first frost advisories on the NWS homepage out west. Fall and stuff.
  2. Storm just offshore Northern OBX. Hope y’all are having a good week.
  3. Sorry for a “IMBY” question but we’ve got family heading south tomorrow morning from Port Washington (north shore) to head to OBX. They’re planning on a 4a departure. Could be some bands by then but do y’all think they’ll be ok? Or recommend leaving tonight. stay safe up there!
  4. Yep by far, just finished season 1…enjoyed it way more than I thought I would
  5. Omg, what took me so long to watch Ted Lasso. The writing, acting, story — sooo good!
  6. Pouring (again), I am over this continual wet pattern we’re in seemingly for the last three years. Flash Flood Warning posted for the Beltway area.
  7. Ugh please be wrong. Raining now.
  8. Good, hopefully we get 0.0" overnight.
  9. Ok that was actually funny.
  10. Just realized Jaws is free to stream on Amazon Prime…good movie to watch right now a few days before heading to OBX.
  11. Official NHC track has it making landfall on the Cape but the cone goes all the way west of NYC. Lots of uncertainty.
  12. 6z GFS has Henri making landfall basically over Block Island in the 970s.

    Winter 2021-22

I’d be good if NYC never sees a flake of snow this winter.
  14. 0.6” of much needed rain so far today out there.
  15. Yeah, Deep Creek Lake looked noticeably lower than normal when we were at the house this past weekend. It's been dry there this summer.
  16. Moderate rain. Exactly what we don't need more of here. ETA: pouring
  17. I’m afraid to get back home this morning…hopefully the basement didn’t flood overnight. Looks like 4” of rain in our neighborhood.
  18. Looks like already upgraded to slight on spc's home page.
  19. Meso'd: Storm Prediction Center Mesoscale Discussion 1510 (noaa.gov)
  20. I figured you can trust an OP at 280 hours out just like in winter.
  21. Low of 66, currently 75/72 which is a welcomed relief from back home despite the high dews. Garrett is the only county in MD without a Heat Advisory which made me wonder if the county has actually ever had a Heat Advisory (which I'd think probably not).
  22. OMG, no thank you. We're in OBX that week and would prefer no evacuation.
