  1. Sleet with an occasional tiny flake along the Bay/Fort Howard area. Deck getting crunchy.
  2. Gale warning legit. Getting close to 40 mph gusts and mini white caps/fetch in our cove. It's so nice to not hear loose shingles slapping the roof.

  8. Okay, it can stop dumping rain at North Point State Park. Freakishly loud downpours for the last 15 minutes.
  9. We had the same mystery at my previous home. Assumed it was the wind swinging the feeder. Then pondered racoons, but it was a second story deck w/o stairs and couldn't find claw marks on the support beans. Finally, after a night that left dew on the deck, I spotted a trail of raccoon foot prints. After a lot of comical ideas like placing the cats scat mat on the deck rail under the hummingbird feeder, we opted for switching out the feeder every night for one that had only water in it. And we sprayed a solution of apple cider vinegar/water around the area. It took a few weeks, but the raccoons decided unsweetened water wasn't worth the smell of the vinegar. Good luck!

  16. North Point State Park area will go over 12" total rain, thanks to the bullseye on the Western side of the Bay. When it rains it monsoons. (So far, it looks like the roofers did a good job replacing the roof from the damaging wind storm in March ( I hope I didn't jinx myself by saying that.)
  17. Yup. Another monsoon at North Point. At least it's easier to pull weeds...
  18. Add 1.72" from the monsoon that just rolled through. (Still lightly raining)
  19. Monsoon-ish, but moving fast through Sparrows Point.
  20. Sparrows Point: 5" so far (4" yesterday, 1" early this morning) Sprinklers on 72 hour rain delay
  21. Ductwork modified + Aeroseal done in March Full roof replacement with OC Duration shingles (rated up to 120mph winds) done last Friday. Attic insulation (batt & blown) and rerouting ductwork from exhaust fans to vent caps installed by roofers. Hopefully, having the vent caps on the SE side of the roof will put an end to the inside of the microwave being 32 degrees all winter. One more day of staining and the pier/dock will have it's first coat completed. Then need to touch up the stain on the deck, and put 2nd coat on pier.
  22. Wow, just had the most extreme lightning strike I can recall. The house shook and the ground rumbled for approximately 7 seconds. It felt like we were having an earthquake North Point State Park area.
  23. Not surprised at all. It's concerningly ugly here.
