It is maddening to say the least. I pissed off a lot of people but it seems like I was mostly right for my area with the exception of one minor event. We barely pulled that off as it was. The Mid-Atlantic won the year as did persistence. Welcome to the cliff.

I saw someone got they're feelings hurt, but I agree that we're running out of time if you look at the extended forecast.  I mean all this moisture and we for some reason can't get that damn cold air to penetrate east,  I thought by now the cold would have been pushed here already.  It's very frustrating.  Maybe we get a snowstorm at the end of the month or March.  :snowwindow:

  2. Guys we might as well give up it looks like.  We get the same thing over and over.  Warm and rain or cold and dry or maybe an inch of snow or 33 and rain.  The cold air out west that was suppose to be here this past Monday just doesn't seem to move east hardly any.  At one time all the rain we're starting to get was looking like snow but the cold just won't get here.  The next 15 days doesn't look good unless you want rain and temps in the 40's.  Just terrible, each week goes by I think well maybe next week or the next week.  we're running out of weeks guys.  Very Frustrated with this pattern.  :axe::violin:

I got screwed again but at least it snowed some. I have never had a winter with this many 1 to 2 inch events in quick succession.

Me too, I might have 2 inches, boy these 4-8 and 3-6  inch snow falls just aren't coming thru.  I think the 4-8 10 days ago we might have received 1/2 inch.  I'm ready for a bonified 6 inch snow and I'll be ready for spring.  we need that cold air that was to come in here tomorrow to come in some time this week to have a good chance.  Last night it never got going good then we were in a dry slot forever.  Our temps are always marginal at best.  We need bonified cold without a warm nose to worry about.  Sorry,,,,,venting, should have gone to the whining thread.

Really hate to say it but we may have to punt till after next weekend, again.
4-5 day cool down then SE ridge reappears. Good night please give me something better to look forward to in the morning

yep next weekend looked so promising and now poff and we're back to 10 days or 14 days out again till the 21st,  where is that cold air that we were suppose to have this coming week.  Thought for sure it would be here by next weekend. :axe:

  6. this is ridiculous .  I thought for sure we would score this weekend or next midweek.  Mercy, I give up.  northeast gets 30 inches and I can't get but a half inch every time we have potential.  yep where did the epic cold go.  met said the other day if we get any moisture it would be snow because of the cold and now maybe just plain old temps in the upper 30's.  Mercy

  7. why can't we for once get colder and stay cold before the storm, why every time does it seem to get warmer and rain.  why couldn't the storm Saturday night be more south, I might have known the Euro was going to cave to the GFS since this is the one showing the warm solution.  :axe:  I was hoping for once this would turn in our favor.

Overnight runs weren’t all that bad, gfs and euro both have a potential overrunning event next weekend and CMC sets up for a big storm at the end of its run. GFS back to long range cold euro warms us but I wouldn’t say I see an established SER on any modeling and cold air even on the euro is within striking distance. It doesn’t warm the east coast, mainly keeps the warmup confined to Deep South. An active storm track with system sliding from Midwest SE to the coast, no real cutters but no coastals. Not the worst set of modeling runs by any means

Thanks for cheering me up buddy.

I think I care less about the accumulation yesterday and more about the fact that after two years of having systems overproduce moisture 2-3x normal and shattering precip records by double the yearly norms, we finally had a system underachieve in precip...and alas...what great timing for it!

Yep when it's suppose to rain it pours and when it's suppose to snow it fizzles.  :axe:

well my 4-8 turned in to 1/2 inch.  what the hell happened?  I got more snow (3 inches ) last weeks smaller storm.  :weep:

I noticed last night the big dry slot between the two pieces of energy and thought that doesn't look good, well it sure wasn't, on to the next storm.
