Here in East Nantmeal we finished November as the 6th warmest November in the last 21 years at 47.7 degrees which is 3.2 degrees above normal. I will have the monthly climate summary for all reporting stations across the county later. We should open December with a colder than normal stretch with a couple of minor snow chances toward Thursday morning and again over the weekend.

There is always talk that it doesn't snow like it used to in "the old days". Welp - At least here in the philly burbs of Chester County we had quite a few relatively snowy "winters of a lifetime" since 2002-03....all of the yellow highlighted seasons are just since Y2K!! Very cyclical as always!

Here in East Nantmeal the low this morning of 24.4 degrees was our coldest reading since March 22nd when we reached 23 degrees. Today has a forecast to be our coldest high temperature (34 degrees) since the 34.3 degrees back on February 17th. We look to stay cold with below normal temperatures through the 1st 9 or 10 days of December before we should see a nice warming trend by mid-month. There could be a couple snow chances - the first chance on Wednesday night and maybe additional potential toward next weekend.

Chilly today but turning colder tomorrow with a reinforcing cold front later today. We could see a couple light snow flurries today. High temperatures both Saturday and Sunday are just a few degrees above freezing. Temperatures will remain well below normal all week with snow chances increasing by Wednesday night into Thursday morning with the approach of an Alberta Clipper system.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families! We have picked up between 0.50" to 0.75" of rain across the county overnight. Here in East Nantmeal we have picked up 0.70" of rain. Rain should end by early this afternoon. After today we should be dry and unseasonably chilly for the next week with temperatures averaging almost 10 degrees below normal levels for the start of December. Highs on both Saturday and Sunday will struggle to get much above freezing for high temperatures.

A nice day to take care of any last-minute prep for Thanksgiving with sunny weather and temperatures about average for late November at near 50 degrees. Today will be our last above normal temperature day for quite a while. High temperatures will fall to the mid 40's tomorrow and then to the 30's by day and low 20's at night for much of the next week. Our only rain opportunity over the next week arrives by dawn tomorrow and should be exiting stage right by early afternoon. We could see around 0.50" of rain from this event.

Some light showers this morning with a cold front but not too much in the way of rain amounts. This will be our last above normal temperature day for quite a while. High temperatures today should occur early this afternoon and slowly fall by late PM. Dry tomorrow but rain arrives again by Thanksgiving morning and will last into the afternoon. We could see at least 0.5" of rain before it ends by later afternoon. Then clearing and unseasonably cold for the weekend with high temperatures not too far above freezing both Saturday and Sunday.

We have had a very mild month so far here in November with 18 of the 24 days averaging warmer than normal. We will continue that pattern both today and tomorrow before we trend to below normal temperatures to close out November and start December. Rain chances increase toward tomorrow morning but end by afternoon. More rain arrives Thanksgiving morning and should last into Friday morning. The coldest air so far this season arrives for the weekend and high temperatures may struggle to get much above freezing in some spots.

Another breezy but dry day today with temperatures within a couple of degrees above our normal high of around 50 degrees. We warm to above normal both tomorrow and Tuesday before the big pattern change to below normal temperatures sets in by Wednesday. Looking ahead below normal temperatures look like a good bet to close out the month and last through at least the first 10 days of December. We have a couple rain chances this week - the first one will be tomorrow night with the cold front and then again with the possible coastal storm on Thanksgiving Day.
