  1. A nice weekend ahead although a bit breezy both today and tomorrow. Temperatures will be about where they should be for late November at near 50 degrees for the high temperature both days. Monday should be our warmest day of the week with mid to upper 50's across the area. We start chilling down through the rest of the week and will be keeping a close eye on a potential developing nor’easter that could impact the area as soon as Thanksgiving Day. Depending on the storm track we could see all rain, snow or a mix of both - stay tuned!

  3. Some of the higher spots in Chester County saw their first measurable snow of the young fall/winter season. Some of the trained spotter reported amounts (see map below) to the National Weather Service included 1.3" at West Caln Township / 0.6" at Honey Brook Township / 0.3" at East Nantmeal Township / 0.2" at Fricks and 0.1" at Paoli. Of note the 0.3" recorded at East Nantmeal Township marks the 2nd consecutive year with measurable November snow in the Township. This follows 4 years without measurable November snow dating back to one of the largest November storms in county history that occurred November 15th through 16th of 2018 when 7.3" of snow was recorded at East Nantmeal Township.

  5. Steady snow continues here in East Nantmeal temp down to 32.6 and snow beginning to accumulate on all non-paved surfaces
  6. 32.8 degrees here in NW Chester County with snow and some stickage starting
  7. Another mesoscale model the Canadian like the NAM seem to be picking out the elevation impacts vs. the globals
  8. I would suspect the mesoscale models will likely handle this best....
  9. It looks like it won't arrive for most spots from LHV on southbound till near dawn....
  10. I like this topo map.....if you are in brown some snow will come down.....if you in green none will be seen!
  11. Chilly and breezy today with some occasional rain showers especially across Northern Chester and Berks Counties....some snow may begin to mix in with the rain across the highest elevations later this evening. Some additional snow and rain showers will continue for much of the day tomorrow. Any minor slushy accumulations will be on non-paved surfaces as temperatures with the exception of the highest ridges will remain a little above freezing for the duration. We start to dry out and turn a bit milder with temperatures back to near or slightly above normal before a sharp turn to colder by Wednesday. Turkey Day itself looks to be colder than normal with high temperatures in the low 40's.

  13. Heavy rain here in East Nantmeal with up to 0.30" here in the last 20 minutes
  14. Steve, agree with everything you said....only think I question is the "atlantic is toasty" IMHO one of the least important issues for snow in the mid-atlantic. Give me the right track in winter and unless you are within 30 miles of the ocean I would take my chances!
  15. That GFS Tidbits looks a bit inflated (of course none of this is real but) - same run on WB
