  1. There's definitely a lot of variability out there already. I did a little sightseeing up to Round Top and found some hollows that were lucky to have a couple inches on the ground
  2. Lots of 2" reports in the area and I'm about to hit 6", amazing how that works
  3. 3.6" here already and coming down nicely still. I haven't done too much mesoscale digging but would guess I'm getting some nice mountain enhancement
  4. Another 0.9" last night after 1.3" on NYE, bringing me up to 20.2" for the season. The pack fresheners have been nice lately
  5. 18.0", pretty much in line with everyone else across the area
  6. Ended up with 8.5" here for another nice December event
  7. 5" in an hour and a half. Crazy heavy snow
  8. A very pretty 1.3" here as the temp sat right at 32F for most of the day. It's certainly been a wintry month so far
  9. Yeah, if even that. It was funny to see cars coming down the hill from Woodstock the other day caked in snow while I was raining
  10. Saugerties, just off the Thruway. Kind of a different world despite not really being that far away
  11. Just starting to taper off now at 6.5", maybe that last band swings through and freshens it up a bit. I'm liking the new latitude so far
  12. Getting into some really heavy stuff now with a couple new inches in the last hour. Roads are pretty atrocious
  13. Couple inches are down already with decent rates. Should be good for at least 4-5 by the end of the day
  14. I hope everyone had a nice time celebrating today
  15. My tipper gauge is still in the box but I don't think it was a very impressive rainfall up here
  16. Its a cool spot in spite of itself. Several great indie music venues, fun cocktail bars and a few dives, thriving firefly habitats on the outskirts of town, world-class views and hiking in all directions. Just don't make eye contact with the original hippies and you're good
  17. More or less. I'm envisioning it being a temp thing for like 3-5 years but the location is good since I find myself hanging out in Kingston/Woodstock/Catskill quite a bit. Proximity to a more varied network of trails is also a plus, and I have some good space to keep the gardens going. Definitely a climo downgrade, though it's not like I've been racking up the KUs in Millbrook over the last decade. At least I'll be more likely to head into the Catskills and actually take advantage of the pack there during our all but assured gradient winters
  18. I'm moving up to Saugerties this weekend, rip to my legendary radiating hole
  19. Rallied late to hit 101.1, that's serious heat for June
  20. I started to a little nervous about the gardens overnight, ended up with a low of 42/34. Not far from patchy frost territory
