    Its 8 degrees warmer at surface than other models 8 degrees might be a stretch. Haven’t seen anything showing DC is low 20s at 12z Thur.

    As depicted on 12z, para has temps in the 20s w a surface flow out of the NE w a nice thump of snow to mix. Long ways out, but trackable .

    And, shocker to see that the gfs has at least temporarily dropped the 50s and 60s for late week.

    Some guidance would suggest LWX will need to hoist advisories for ice tomorrow esp N and W. CAD seemingly always takes longer to erode. Something both the HRRR and NAM are showing this morning. Torching just off the ground but that shallow cold hanging on.

    Just finished a 3 mi walk. Roads still fine. Every other surface is slick af.

    And, it actually stayed mostly frozen for the favored areas Monday into Tuesday. Thursday was cold going in and then a mess. By weeks end......

    ^^that would also apply to the gfs and euro, which have both showed ridiculous snow and temp progs that haven’t come close to panning out.
