HRRR looks like most south of 70 or so end up with a nice late afternoon and evening w temps pushing close to 60. Maybe a 70 in the wv panhandle and down in va.
Yes. It happened in a relatively narrow area previously cleared as a result of a landslide. Depth of the debris was 9 feet and one of the skiers was fully buried but survived. Here’s a link to the report.

Some of the locations in the white mountains have depths at or above 6 feet. Here’s a pic of a recent slide in tuckermans ravine. Large crack clearly evident with the debris running down the floor of the ravine.
