    Yes. It happened in a relatively narrow area previously cleared as a result of a landslide. Depth of the debris was 9 feet and one of the skiers was fully buried but survived.     Cities? Yes. Ski areas in NNE have had a nice rebound the 2nd half of the season. The Mt Mansfield (Stowe) snow stake has a depth of 81” this morning. https://matthewparrilla.com/mansfield-stake/ Some of the locations in the white mountains have depths at or above 6 feet. Here’s a pic of a recent slide in tuckermans ravine. Large crack clearly evident with the debris running down the floor of the ravine.

    My yard looks like what you’d expect in august. Rock hard and cracking.

    Depending on your definition of western highlands, your snow climo isn’t even close to what those areas average. Also, no one….no one……in MD on the this side of the Allegheny front achieves 75” of snowfall easily regardless of how good the winter is. Those types of seasons are by far the minority scenarios.

    Only the 2nd time in SB history that a team gave up a double digit halftime lead and lost. Surprising for a team that was clearly more talented at all but 1 position.
