Feel awful for the ski areas. Places like Canaan got off to a nice start, hit 100” on the season and it went down the drain after the mid January snow. They’ve received 4.9” in the last 3 weeks with way above normal temps during peak ski season.
Agreed on PD weekend. Way too early to give up on that when all the major globals have a storm SE of the area. It’s not far off from impacting the area w some form of precip.
Crappy surface temps + midday usually doesn’t work too well unless you’re far N/W of the cities. I’d feel better about our chances if this was coming in overnight.
Area of impact for some winter weather beginning to expand in WPCs day 6 probs. Still favoring N/W areas, but this was largely confined to the far western mountains even just yesterday. Slow progress.
