  1. That's awesome enjoy the week ahead. Close to that area of Norfolk is expected to experience significant flooding during tomorrow's high tide after about 4:00 p.m...there will be some moderate flooding in the morning. Stay out of that area until you have to go on the cruise sunday. Safe travels that's not going to be easy.
  2. We'll have plenty of rain between now and midnight it won't matter. It's a fire hose coming off the Atlantic right now. Pouring on the coast and well inland. It wouldn't be bad to get dry slotted in this case. Two or three inches is plenty. Who knows how this is going to play out. The one given is the next 6 to 10 hours of moderate to heavy rain. That's good enough. And limited power outages
  3. We need some soil soaking rains here in Northeast North Carolina badly. It's been very dry. Just really hope the wind doesn't get too ratcheted up. Tides will be interesting in the usual spots but particularly up in Norfolk and some of the lower areas.
  4. These late season games when you're trying to wrap up a division or a grind. Anybody (as ROM proved) can shut you down. Just bad luck the past two nights. I don't see any Funk or trend. They'll come out tonight with a very good chance to win with their best starter going for them. And you can take positives from the last two games as well. Means coming back looked decent. And Gibson had his 2nd good start out of last 3 so that's a nice trend. A little luck and some timely hitting and they could put some distance between the two clubs. Prediction, O's win 3 of 4.
  5. I'd imagine Rodgers, after the dust settles, rehabs and comes back for 1-2 years. He's not done in NY. That story is still being written. Zach will stink their way to an 8-9 record. Aaron back next year and they start this all over again. Not retiring.
  6. Finally got the goods today. 3.89 so far. Mid day training of storms did the trick. Bone dry 2 miles west. Got lucky for once. Hopefully it's goodbye to the 90s!
  7. Download The Radar Now app. They just updated and now the nexrad local base reflectivities are back.
  8. I will get my frontal boundary enhanced two to four inches of rain with 55 mph gusty winds as forecasted and will appreciate the rain. Dry as hell here. Little concerned with the frontal boundary hanging over the area with the incoming storm. Someone in eastern North Carolina may get 8-10 inches of rain. Probably around the Albemarle and south. Either way I need the rain.
  9. Not a drop here. Crispy lawns. A brief shower yesterday barely wet the ground. Basically nothing for a few weeks. Hardly anything in August so far. Just unlucky.
  10. That's terrible news. I bet he's gone even through the playoffs. That's okay, they can do it by committee with Cano, Coulombe and Fuji. Do-able.
  11. GFS has been bad overdoing the heat lately. By a lot.
  12. Damn. They are saying it's his arm. That's Troublesome especially since he didn't throw one to check after that 2-1 pitch.
  13. Hopefully Bautista just tweaked his left knee.
  14. As Gary Cohen from the New York Mets broadcast said, if Baltimore management doesn't want Kevin Brown, there are 29 teams who do.
  15. In the end Kevin Brown gets screwed because now he has a little bit of a sullied reputation with folks wondering what really happened. What could he have done to Angelo's to piss him off? Most likely nothing. But still it still besmirches his reputation a bit.
  16. Bad job Orioles organization. Little Angelos took exception to this statement by their great play by play guy Kevin Brown regarding the Ray's back on 7/23. Suspended indefinitely. That... “The Orioles have won more games against them this season than the last two combined”. Seriously? That thin skinned? Brown was only reporting truth. He's one of the best baseball voices already. He'll be fine elsewhere hopefully.
  17. Nice picture. Meager crowd makes for a relaxing time, IMO. Great job. Nice win too.
  18. Doesn't matter it's all going to feel the same. Not much difference between 93 and 89. Enjoy your week. You picked a good one
  19. You better check that forecast again mattie. 90s all week
  20. I'm confused. Are you in Cross Junction or back in Stephens City?
  21. Brutal loss. Middle infielders blew it. Frazier dropped the relay then Mateo again flubs another grounder that would have ended the inning. Too bad. Great game.
  22. NW Stafford cell looks nasty. That blew up in 10 minutes.
