  1. Looks like one week from now may be the first legit chance of something for at least NNE and interior.
  2. Some impressive record lows out west. -15F at Great Falls. Only earlier -15F was -16F on 11/2/91.
  3. EPS suggests a gradient pattern may develop over New England at the end of the run. I wouldn’t call it a SE ridge, but as the flow tries to relax with EPO ridge retrogression, the ridging develops a tad heading into Greenland. At the same time Canada is very cold. So verbatim battle ground is over New England towards the end. What you want to see is that ridging in Greenland take over and help pin the cold into eastern Canada. I’m not sure I buy that at the moment.
  4. I want to say that’s fake, but unfortunately my guess is that it is not.
  5. Looks like if ORH doesn’t do it (I think they tickled 32 briefly?) next chance is Monday or Tuesday next week. Logan should do it too. Same here I suppose.
  6. Not sure ORH hits 32 so I don’t know about real cold, but best delivery yet. Logan at 35 or 36 too. Still lame AF.
  7. 37. We grow with N wind off the harbor. Breezy.
  8. I kind of yawn with winds below 55 or so, but maybe others don’t.
  9. It’s not a dud, but not classic.
  10. This isn’t a classic phaser. Maybe some 50+ south coast?? Meh. I mean it’s November and leaves off for many.
  11. I won’t feel too bad, if nothing exciting happens. It’s November so I don’t expect much. I do think at least the interior and NNE see something over the next two weeks though. I actually feel pretty good about that.
  12. From what it looked like in late October, much much colder for the CONUS. It's a matter of ridge placement off by 300-400 miles. Recall I mentioned that the difference of the ridge placement is the difference of seeing the cold go into the west and everyone east of the MS is torching...vs having the cold roll down the front range and freeze the CONUS outside of maybe the far southeast US.
