    I will say last night had one interesting feature. We were blowing all evening from NNE and my temp hovered around 41.7. Eventually temps away from the water got cold enough so that the typical thermal balance between warm and cold started backing towards the water. Wind was more N to NNW this morning and dropped temps quite a bit after midnight. Sometimes you see that this time of year.

    We still had a decent delivery at 925 here (albeit warming some) combined with nighttime cooling despite the inversion way up high. Not the super fake stuff where the top of my head is 15 degrees warmer than my feet.

    33 breezy. Wind still off the water. Looks like that subsides tonight.

    Yea it did cool off, but it’s not this massive pattern shift. I guess that’s why I’m like meh. Better than a torch, sure.

    I just call it how it is. There’s nobody more than me who wants this to be a good winter.

    That’s certainly possible. Hell some areas in NE MA had snow in October amid the torch. You can have cool downs in a meh pattern.

    The Irony is that the mild down later on in the month was forecasted 5-6 weeks out and then faded up until a couple of days ago. Whaddya know. 5-6 weeks out it was hinted at.

    Why don’t people scream and yell at me for my thoughts later in December? Oh that’s right, because I said it could be favorable and this place is loaded with weenies. No howling and growling there lol.

    What’s the big deal with saying first half of December may suck, but later on in the month looks more favorable? First half usually sucks anyways.

    It will Be BN for a few days but a torch month is a lock. Top tier torch too.

    People do long range for a living and it’s skillful to have an idea of the long range look 4-6 weeks out. Can it be wrong, sure but overall there is skill. Other than a few passing cold fronts, it doesn’t look great. I’d feel better late December.

    Nobody wants to hear negativity, but it is what it is. Deal. At least it’s not a torch.
