  1. Flooding is going to be an unmitigated disaster for the GSP WFO hill country into NC.
  2. Probably towards Salem will you find 100+. They got raked.
  3. That town Salem looked to be getting smoked.
  4. The live shots around Perry weren’t really what I was expecting.
  5. Yep was noticing that. Still going strong.
  6. It is not radar attenuation. Both radars, TLH and TBW show it. Also noted on IR imagery. It’s clearly the intense convection helping. Other storms have shown some raggedness, but she’s really helping offset this with vigorous convection NW to NE of the center. It was just an observation.
  7. For a strengthening cat 4 like that and a ragged 40% or so of the eyewall, it’s surprising to me it intensified like that. In the following post, I mentioned the intense convection.
  8. It’s like the 60% of the eyewall is extremely intense and just sucking up all the air lol.
  9. I’m still surprised because the eye is not really impressive at all. But she seems to still be strengthening I guess.
  10. Might take out some trees at Augusta. Lets flatten the greens.
  11. If he avoids convection at 45K he'll likely be ok. But dumb move imo.
  12. Anything like that needs to be east of center
  13. Really would like to see that eyewall close though.
  14. Yeah, this storm is pretty much all Eastside.
  15. Gotta say I’m impressed with her. I had my doubts on category four earlier, but it looks like it’s gonna be a low end four at least anyways. Imagine if it started this process six hours earlier.
  16. That band off Tampa looks ripe for spouts and when onshore, tornadoes.
  17. I think they are in for issues with surge.
