  1. Part of that bias has come from the EPO region. Models have been too happy to torch AK only to back off, hence the bias.
  2. Kev gone. And now he's driving all around New England. You wonder if there is a DC sniper repeat.
  3. Boston continues to have issues with their sensor. It would probably be good to use a blend of other first order stations and KMQE to help verify.
  4. I give you a 100% chance of failure.
  5. I disagree. The Vortx will be in Canada. Cold is not the issue.
  6. The EPO, is the Pacific. That looks fine and the cold will be there to tap into. The problem may be the negative PNA and southeast ridging.
  7. Might be time to just say this is not our winter.
  8. I can’t stay up for that, nooooo.....no can do.
  9. Just sleep through next week.
  10. She gone on euro. Back to s/w effing it up in MO again.
  11. Yeah the Tropospheric PV is in Hudson Bay as modeled, so that is nothing like early January.
  12. Everyone is annoyed so I don’t blame them. At this point you just sort of roll with things and hope we are on the good side. There is absolutely frigid air in Canada during the 11-15 day.
  13. It’s the old Jan 96 and Feb 03 thinking.
  14. I tend to think if anything guidance is too weak with SE ridges when these cold dumps. It's certainly a gradient with frigid air nearby.
  15. A -EPO always has that possibility. Just because a smoothed out mean doesn't show it 14 days out, does not mean it's a fail. When is the last time we had those anomalies that were modeled all across the CONUS with a -EPO? Almost never. I'm pretty sure we even said it wasn't a perfect look because it could cause a gradient. That is what we will have. Why do you think I joke around with your -EPO hard on? It's playing with fire, hopefully we are on the good side.
  16. Nothing has changed. That look always fosters a -PNA possibility. Take what you can get. It’s certainly no pig, in fact the opposite.
  17. No this really has been steady. The ridging in the Pacific has not change. -PNA always risk with EPO. So is overrunning too.
