Just a weird combo of an early cold snap and dry weather. It screwed up the foliage timing and other things like the cranberry harvest it seems.

It’s locked dude. It’s over. Multiple rounds coming next two weeks. Maybe someone gets only 1-2” through day 10.....but the pattern is a huge change. A trough to our west with multiple s/w’s in the flow with big PWATs is all you need to see. However even the on camera guys were shook by Stein. Disappointing to see.
