It’s probably ok for now, but the nam is pretty much HWW gusts or very close to it.

No, it was more for the rest of the area that it’s about as close to HWW as you can get without having one. I guess for the NWS it’s confidence. This will probably be a lot of 45-48kt reports. Some areas will have gusts near or over 60mph. I can see why they have the HWW where they have it.

It’s definitely a higher end advisory for sure.

Nam has 55-60kts at the top of the boundary layer tomorrow morning. That may not all mix, but profiles during the morning argue for good mixing.

Amen about heading south. April and even May are the best times to go to places like FL.

It will depend on wind direction. As some of those thicknesses relax a bit, that could be a DSD on NW winds. However, it’s not the greatest look even after it gets milder.

You guys in the interior have had some decent NW wind events it seems like. Wx2fish was talking about this earlier.
