  1. They do prevent infection. It's not just lessening the severity. It's not 100% like anything else.
  2. I feel like smoking a cigar and sipping a nice bourbon just thinking about that storm. I'm sure folks gets sick of the nostalgic conversation about it, especially if their area did not get hit, or maybe they weren't here for it....but that was the biggest bag of WTF that I can remember and it's not even close. Nobody...I mean nobody forgets that moment when they looked out the window and saw it flip to snow. I sure as hell do not forget.
  3. Regardless of politics, people should be celebrating this amazing display of human collaboration in science. It's amazing what we can do when we put our smarts and resources together. I wish this were true for other sectors of humanity.
  4. Disaster tomorrow aftn. Maybe some fun west slope Berks, but disgusting elsewhere.
  5. I'll do 08-09. Both had CJs and CFs.
  6. You know how I feel. Go Aliens.
  7. That didn't take long. I'm with Ray on the forgettable train this winter.
  8. I agree. Great idea. Not sure how much people know, but the NWS infrastructure has been a disaster recently. We get alerts and notifications all the time because it affects customers. It's frustrating that an agency who's job is to protect life and property can't get the funding to have a competent and reliable comm infrastructure to send out info. It's not even their fault. I can imagine how frustrating it is for those folks.
  9. The NWS can't even spend money to fix their own technical infrastructure (which isn't their fault), nevermind build a place to launch a balloon.
  10. Well more like Mother Nature. Erosion FTL. Not sure if they will even search for a new one. Honestly, satellite technology is pretty good. I don't think missing a baloon launch between Maine and Long Island will matter much. Unless, NHC makes a fuss about it.
  11. I think we sneak some DSD days...but overall...just seems meh. Euro op might be the other extreme.
  12. Man what we would do for a repeat of 24 years ago. Oh the children we would give up for it.
  13. At least the chickens may have milder nights.
  14. Don’t even look at them anymore.
  15. Might be a couple DSD days on the EPS, but overall...still looks rather meh to me. Euro op.....
  16. We have been trying to tell them.
  17. Hoping next week is more sun and NW winds. Definitely some signs of the Tip and Dendrite holding hands while picking out a dogwood type pattern, but we prepare for the alternative too.
  18. It comes down to the flow. If it’s continental flow it’s 60s lower elevations. If it’s euro op....
  19. Man what a fantastic end. LMAO, take a look at Blue Hill for that time.
  20. I think I saw one day next week that was decent. Wednesday maybe?
