  1. Jan 8 and Tip has warm cheeks and bums.
  2. That was like 6am and it wasn’t that far west.
  3. Yeah TSSN or 500mil? Hmmm. Lol. But yeah pure adrenaline at the time. I think he was really hoping to get TSSN because earlier it was reported in BOS. He sure got it.
  4. Yeah that 40+DBZ stuff. Holy shit. That was incredible. Had to work that day and when I finally got in, that's when Cantore was flipping out lol. I got up at 4am to head in, looked at radar and said holy f*ck. Raced out to try and at least beat some of that.
  5. When that initial band pivoted in (same band that gave Cantore all that TSSN in PYM), that was probably the most insane snows I've driven in. I had to literally drive next to the guardrail on the expressway so that I knew when the road was turning. Literally choking snows for a brief time.
  6. That was typical cyclogenesis, well more like bombogenesis. You had a good baroclinic zone.
  7. Yep. When Cantore blew his pants off, on air. Not sure that qualifies as a polar low, but that had to be "coldest" type of low I could think of.
  8. The 2/15/15 deal had a low develop within very low thicknesses too. Back when we had man winters.
  9. You had a lot of NW flow in that storm with basically an inv trough feature into SNE. No downsloping there.
  10. Nice quick phase there at the last second.
  11. He's been on the phone with his home owner's insurance since the crippling ice storm.
  12. Maybe I am getting older, but I find myself in the "who the hells needs this" category when it's just boring in winter. I love the cold and snow, but otherwise...it's a useless time of year when it's 40 and sunny. It's like my attitude in March I guess. Yay for sunny and 50!. What the eff does that mean other than warm bum bums in cars.
  13. I'm not even suggesting that, might be one of those deals with a front and a band of rain or snow on it. But again, it's like 8+ days out.
  14. I have an Ariens 24" 9.5HP. Absolutely owned '14-'15. I think I may need a belt tightened as I hear a squeak when I dig into heavy snow, but it works great. As a side note, my Dad still has an Ariens from the late 70s that he uses. Still runs. A guy came by to help tune it up and was blown away by how well it worked.
  15. Like this week, leaning against that too....but not writing it off 8+ days out obviously. I feel like that storm is the flush that gets rid of the stagnant poo pattern.
  16. That's dam cool. Wow at the flakes in that tiny layer.
  17. Yeah I hope. It did improve up in that domain week 3 so hopefully it carries over. Seems like it should?
  18. They were fine. Backed off a tad on the porn...but very nice until week 4ish. Week 4 was ok with a -NAO, but Pacific started to get more Nina.
  19. LOL Will called it. 2013 and 2015 vibe in Jan.
  20. Gonna be awhile folks. Probably until at least next weekend and beyond. Is what it is.
  21. Phin's bread and butter climo he waited for, more like stale Indian Naan bread rubbed with Canola oil.
