  1. LOL by Canton? Yeah.....the poor people back in the day visiting with no GPS. Terrible road design.
  2. Gfs looked better. Come on 2/2/15.
  3. I agree to a point. I grew up in Brockton and went to public school through 8th grade. I went to private HS at Coyle and Cassidy in TAN. By no means is Brockton a good school system. However, it's what you make out of it, and the teachers that are there. My junior high was like the movie "Lean on Me," but the teachers busted our chops. I honestly felt junior high was one of the most grueling academically. I had lots of homework and the teachers genuinely cared in my level. Where I am now also isn't the greatest school system, but in a community like this, some schools do perform better than others. We were fortunate to have my son go to a school that does rate very well. We purposely moved to this location hoping he would be be able to attend. It's not just teachers, but how much parents care too. This area has a lot of younger families starting out who really help drive passion and energy for the school. If you are looking at certain communities, check out how the individual schools rank as well.
  4. My family is from BOS. My dad's side is Italian and Portuguese. The Italians all went to the North Shore and turned places like Saugus into Rome with giant pillars on ranch style houses etc. The Irish in the city all went to the south shore. At first it was Quincy that turned into Belfast with the rolling Blue Hills reminding them of the homeland compared to Dorchester Heights. Then Plymouth county became the Irish Riviera as they call it. It's the truth, and probably why north and south shore have that distinction of rivals.
  5. Yeah those were disappointing locally. I was about 5 miles from getting double in 3/7/18.
  6. Since last night? How much since Saturday at the summit..well your snow stake?
  7. Impressive. Mtns making up for lost ground, but the areas away from the mtns need help.
  8. What was the storm total from the low itself?
  9. That's been awhile. No CJ here recently.
  10. They will be back. Your classic 128 on inside rain and 495 paste jobs. They'll be back. "Christina..." will be back to my dismay.
  11. I was looking south while suffocating from exhaust when about 10 miles due south was getting 2"/hr. You could see it as it was backlit a bit too from the sun. Just this curtain. A little different from what you speak of, but similar idea I suppose. Like I said, after what happened in the 6 weeks prior, that was pure greed taking over, so I shouldn't have gotten too worked up over it.
  12. March '14 honorary bitch mention too (for me haha) because that was cold and dry AF. Just missed an epic blizzard. It was pure greed in March '15. That dam Bruce Willis storm. I remember looking south to white curtains (not kidding here), when Bob said it was pounding there.
  13. May need to be careful and reword that to NNE mtns. Otherwise, Dendrite, Lavarock, Dryslot, and Tamarack are going to slam a loaf of scala bread and a stick of butter down your throat. Pretty envious of you guys, but that's climo too. Hopefully the synoptics kick in a bit more.
  14. Weakens a bit, it we’ll take it.
  15. There are a million s/w’s to model and not to mention how they interact with other s/w’s. It could go the other way too.
  16. Ukie precip maps looked good for SNE.
  17. Maybe the S coast will get it after all. That's what I envisioned yesterday across srn CT and RI, but it didn't quite get going there.
  18. Yeah was looking at that. Someone will get lucky.
  19. Everything out west is tilted. EPO ridge, and thus now the -PNA trough. All + tilted and folding over each other. That's never good. 6z EPS tried to change that.
  20. Some nice snows on the bridges of the Cape there.
