  1. Congrats to those stuck on the roads for hrs, 14 years ago.
  2. 50mb strat gets elongated and digs into the CONUS at the end of the run. I take that as a good thing. Usually worst case is like a concentric circle over Siberia.
  3. In any case, it's finally nice to look ahead and not see a 500mb blood bath over the northeast. I don't know how long it will last, but it also does not seem fleeting. I don't see signs of Nina like convection over the maritime continent roaring back and the easterly anomalies are kind of meh. Maybe the beginnings of a base state change?
  4. Yeah I should have clarified because the op was flatter (and maybe that does occur). Just my gut feeling...that might be more north. The one on the 21st looks much more interesting for you and perhaps the interior. Maybe Dec 2005-lite occurs for me like the 6z GFS shows.
  5. I also said euro guidance meaning incorporating ensembles. I don't think that one works out for SNE.
  6. Latitude will matter. But we'll see as some guidance is flat.
  7. Saturday is NNE on Euro guidance. That is toasty. So likely beyond that.
  8. Between now and Christmas CNE and NNE likely to get at least something. Hopefully one of them works out for SNE. I'm still looking mostly beyond that as anything before Christmas is gravy for me.
  9. Pretty active look on the deterministic models. Hopefully one of these works out.
  10. At least Canadian and GEFs look interesting around the 21.
  11. And actually I got Ray’d a bit too in ‘94 as I was too far west in Brockton to get into the 30” CJ places to my east had. A good winter, but was disappointed to miss that one. Blizz ‘96 broke the 2’ cherry.
  12. About 13 1/2. Old enough to know I was taken to the beast of a man shed and meteorologically molested.
  13. Yeah I think my life would have been in jeopardy if I lived there. Surrounded by feet of snow and nothing to show. For me, it was being under 10 miles from like 18”. We were under a blizzard warning and we did change to snow, but the only thing I can think of was that it slotted a bit and as the marine layer moved back in as it retro’d we flipped back to rain and mangled crap. Absolute toaster bath given what was anticipated and how my excitement built. I was devastated. Some of the younger weenies could use that humble pie.
  14. Congrats to those on the anniversary of the December ‘92 nor’easter. The one that broke the back of horrible winters.....but man did that give me one of my worst heart breaks I’ve ever had.....either personal or Meteorological. A tear may have be shed.......may have.
  15. Looks like 50mb strat gets nicely perturbed too. Stretching and almost splitting into NAMR.
  16. I’m thinking anything before Christmas is gravy. I’m set to looking afterwards. Different story maybe up north.
  17. If that thing around the 21 doesn’t work, may have to wait until after Santa comes.
