That month had two 3-4” events here with some smaller ones. That was a south coast month. But, the event that launched Logan to #1 was a classic positive bust. I remember that one well, because I was briefing someone at Logan airport about it and said if this inverted trough comes west by even 5 or 10 miles then we could break the record and have several inches of snow on our hands. Well we know what happened LOL.

Epic bust for Maine too. That was supposed to bury Portland area. It did give coastal York county nearly 20” but shafted off to the north.

Another nice wintry day. This is a brackish inlet just at the end of my street.

EPS went nuts in the 11-15 day. That is cold and hopefully stormy.

Yeah for sure. I'd take this in heartbeat over those. Coverage is usually better in any direction from here lol. Just an exposed spot.

Despite all that, I still don't feel that excitement. It seemed too easy to lose the snow. At least here. The actual snow storms themselves were great.

Marshfield. It started as snow and then went to hours of rain and sleet before flipping back to snow on the last day. We slotted a little too. I remember watching the radar over your area and into adjacent NH thinking WTF. You knew they were getting crushed.

That March 2001 storm.....I do remember that feeling of knowing it would be a lot down the drain..at least where I was. Did it end up a decent last 3rd of the storm to finish. I think I had like 8-9".

Like 93% or so of my snow is from 3 events. That's just weird.

Yeah you guys retain well and typically do fine. It's been a weird season for sure. A lot of this season is sample size. we really have not had many events to try and help even things out. It hasn't been dry, but sort of a dearth of winter events. That definitely could change in March.

Man all guidance with a nice ridge from AK into the North Pole...with A monster vortex to our north and northeast to end the month and into March.

The airmass though is warming on Thursday. I'd rather it show peak 925-850 temps then and not overnight Thursday night.

Funny you said that, the NAM sort of had a wedge of drier air move into NE MA and near BOS last night...you could see it on the sim reflectivity. Sure enough it happened a bit...even here it got to a lousy SG type snow for a few hours while that band hit you down into RI. You guys really caught up.

Funny fronto wins again. After Friday I paid more attn to this. I know I joked to Ant about flurries Friday night or whenever it was, but when the models started having that band of prolonged QPF..you figure that isn't just 24 hrs of pixie dust....that's a classic sign of a fluff job. I'd also argue QPF was a little higher than modeled too which can happen.
