  1. Just wait til it starts my friend.....should be a fun afternoon for northern folk
  2. Pray for deformation, even a glancing blow from it. Might be all we have.
  3. 6-8 would still be pretty good considering what's not happening today and didn't happen Wednesday. No one wants to see a deform band of 2-4/hr goodies parked overhead with awesome snow growth more than we do. We just have to pray. I'm sick of these messenger shuffles!!!!!
  4. They were both equally as bad now that time has elapsed as far as I am concerned . Well who knows maybe in this twilight zone winter of a mammoth country wide SWFE and snow onk southerly winds maybe something will go right and help to erase or at least quell some of those 15 and 22 nightmares.
  5. I totally get his worry. We have been through a lot WOR and lower Pioneer Valley and while the better winters in these zones were good they were nowhere near as EOR . I have factored in things which reduce snow on its own in these areas.
  6. Think of the piles DIT could sculpt on the sides of his driveway!
  7. Hasn't one of these big models continued to double down up until about 30 hours from game time and then joined the rest of the team that had been already well out to sea for days? I feel like this happened fairly recently. So there could be almost two more days of this with the GFS or more if the system slows down a little.
  8. Didn't that model sniff out a big storm first like fifteen years ago? The Jan 11 event?
  9. You showed up just in time... there's a lot going on this winter across the entire forum.
  10. Is Friday Night really just a mirage? The p/c says 1 to 3 possible. If we got an inch on the front then sleet and rain then an inch or two of snow it will at least look wintry this weekend
  11. Periods of sprinkles occasionally mixed with very light drizzle
  12. Well we were due for an event to vaporize right before our eyes
  13. I don't even think I got a tenth of an inch of rain. Anyone who thought their truck was getting rinsed off will just have to visit one of the many car washes that dot the landscape
  14. I lived in central CT and was in 8th grade. I remember that winter like it was yesterday. We had around 60 inches of snow that winter which was about ten above normal. Next year 87-88 was also good for us . I remember one of the Feb blizzards producing rates up to 5-6 inches/hr in the Delmarva. The cape scored a December blizzard in 1987 also.
  15. I kind of don't mind them in May. Anything to delay the heat.
  16. What a weird winter. An almost continental SWFE produces a huge Snow event for us as warmer air overrides below zero temps and single digits. Much of the rest of the seasons snow delivered on southerly winds, Which I will never forget Charley Bagley saying how hard it was for it to snow on southerly winds. It would follow the seasonal tenor to miss Monday. Too bad for pack enthusiasts bc I think region wide almost everyone would have a good chance of a huge pack if Monday planned out close enough to crush region wide. That's the last shot this season.
  17. Well I am glad I haven't paid much attention because I have seen so many silly posts on social media about this thing and a p/c that's higher than a kite. Friday looks equally as confusing.
  18. You should get some goods up there. If you have to start worrying about rain then that would be a very bad sign.
  19. I'm inclined to agree with you regarding snow fall. One more big storm and a few more small to mid size events could really make this a very special winter in Southern New England. This week looks pretty warm the entirety into next weekend and by that I mean upper 30s to mid 40s for daytime highs and liquid precipitation
