  1. That's what I'm looking for. About a 6 inch, high end advisory, low end warning, storm. While it would be nice to see those pinks covering the entire map, I'll take what the ICON is showing. I just want more that a 1-2 inch nuisance.
  2. Ugh...Voyager rant here, but I'm so tired of being too far north, south, or west in these snow events. If we (I) can't get a good, solid high end advisory event, than I'd just as soon smoke cirrus.
  3. How about 30? That's all I need to get into the 6 inch gradient.
  4. So I go away for a bit, and I see that the thread went hot, so thought maybe there was a good model run incoming. But it's football...
  5. Just what I need. Snow when I don't want it and no snow when I do. I have a big, half day long, eye specialist appointment on Friday because I was recently diagnosed with macular degeneration. I need my wife to drive because I'll be dilated, but she doesn't drive in snow. So I'm REALLY hoping the Friday snow doesn't happen.
  6. 12.5 mph in my backyard. Unless my anemometer is way off, but really, where my house sits is so much calmer than even my daughter's house higher up on a hill.
  7. The great thing about being out there is that you can live in warm Phoenix and drive 2 hours and be in a winter wonderland. Or, you can live in Flagstaff, and when you need or want a break from the cold, drive to Phoenix. Add into that the diversity and beauty of the landscape and it's just an awesome place to live.
  8. Absolutely, but my wife refused to move out there, so I had no choice. It was come home or get divorced.
  9. I actually would. I don't really like Tamaqua and wish I lived in a more urban location.
  10. I have an occasional beer or glass of wine, but am 99% alcohol free. I'm prone to wicked hangovers, and one day decided it wasn't worth the pain the next day. I don't miss it one bit
  11. Tamaqua is super protected from most wind directions. We get the occasional gust, but for the most part it's been rather benign here. Even in the most prolific wind events, it's tough to get a gust over 20mph
  12. GDPS clown map shows how skunked CPA through southern NE can possibly be with this storm.
  13. Right? If you don't stop, you don't get hungover.
  14. Isn't that Friday snow part of what's screwing up Monday? If so than I want no part of it.
  15. I know you don't. I just couldn't resist making a pun post...
  16. And there you go, bursting my bubble(r)...
  17. This is often the time that north trends commence, which Is why I was initially bummed when I woke up this morning. Hopefully the eps is seeing something and we'll eventually get that north trend.
  18. What a frustrating hobby being a weather geek is... I woke up this morning hoping to see positive trends overnight wrt Monday's "event", but no dice. Still the same with most models holding the confluence and keeping the storm (and the snow) south, and allowing it to string out. I know it's early, and there's still time for things to trend better, but I'm losing hope on this bringing anything but flurries to a light dusting north of the turnpike and east of the mountains.
  19. Lightning, thunder, hail, and storms all over SEPA. But here, just light rain. Nothing exciting happens here weatherwise. Even wind events are meh in Tamaqua. Now we get prolonged cold (which I hate) but perhaps little if any snowfall to at least make it worthwhile. Ugh...
  20. This is a bit more zoomed. I took it to 168 as it's still snowing past 150. Also, this is 10:1 as I don't have the Kuchera map.
  21. I'm not sure I'm buying what the GFS is selling. This may stay south, but I'm not sure it'll be that far south.
  22. Man...the 12z ICON. Shift that 75 miles north and it's game on for most of us.
  23. That's good, and thanks for replying, but it would have been nice if he elaborated a bit more, but I guess one event at a time.
