  1. Snow showers? Makes it sound like it's just going to snow off and on throughout the event, which is really not how true snowstorms act in PA. Tonight Snow showers, possibly mixed with rain. Low around 29. Light east wind increasing to 11 to 16 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Tuesday Snow showers, mainly before 10am. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. Northeast wind 14 to 17 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
  2. Canderson for moderator! I know he'd do a good job keeping things civil here without being over the top heavy handed.
  3. Oh, I know. I love Shady Maple. I just like to get people going with it.
  4. How can it be a shady maple in the wintertime???
  5. Took this pic a couple blocks from my humble Sun City abode this morning. The Bradshaw Mountains just north of the Valley got a decent snow overnight.
  6. This was the Kachina Village ADOT camera at 3pm.
  7. I forgot about the rail cam. My niece just messaged me and said she got another 14" today so far. So that's 37" between yesterday and today. Now she lives in Flagstaff proper. South of Flag on I-17 (Munds Park and Kachina Village) gets more usually. I'll bet those areas are 40" or better.
  8. My niece's side yard in Flagstaff right now. That's a 6ft fence for reference.
  9. Tamaqua or Phoenix, it makes no difference...
  10. Copped a cool pic of the clouds this morning in the AZ backyard...
  11. That's one thing that Tamaqua was pretty immune to. We've had them, but none were of any significance. On a side note, you guys need to come out to Flagstaff this week. All the globals give them at least 20+ inches of snow this week. Every day from Tuesday through the weekend has at least moderate chances for falling snow.
  12. Reading the the last page here, I'd say you guys really need a HECS. You're all going crazy from a lack of snow...lol
  13. Caught this bad boy during my errand running today...
  14. Definitely a strong storm out here. Not super cold, but plenty of moisture. Forecast here is for about an inch of rain Thursday night and Friday.
  15. I don't know how this will play into your weather going forward, but for here, at 5-6 days out, the NWS is pretty bullish about a stormy pattern setting up here in the southwest. This just the opening shot, as longer range guidance suggests more rain and mountain snow beyond Friday. Thursday Night Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Friday Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  16. Just when you thought you'd seen it all...
  17. Almost took out the community ambulance building though. I know that hill, and it's pretty nasty in good conditions.
  18. Not sure if the link will work, but check out what happened in Shenandoah, PA this morning... https://www.facebook.com/share/v/4DayHy6kV5gfMg8n/?mibextid=CYgPv5
  19. They did that for Tamaqua as well, so you're not THAT special... Beyond that, it was 74 here at the Sun City abode. I must be nuts for wanting to come back home.
  20. Yup. In typical fashion. We cool, you warm, and vice versa. The next 4 days, we'll be running 70-75 for highs. Then as you guys thaw out, we'll go wet and chilly again, with rain chances starting on Sunday.
