  1. Light snow in Tamaqua. Everything dusted. Salt trucks out... Temp: 20.3
  2. 12 (11.7) is my so far low for Tamaqua. 8 in the colder valley near our company garage where I'm loading water at the moment.
  3. Hell of a cutoff there. As depicted, I'll be loading water with a foot on the ground and taking it to Allentown where they barely have an inch.
  4. Late on the nooners here, but I'm up to 28 currently.
  5. I hope. My job SUCKS when it gets down into the single digits. It starts to suck under about 25, but it really sucks below 10. The life of a bulk water truck driver...
  6. Ugh...next Tuesday. Monday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 1. Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 12
  7. Not minding this mild morning/day at all. I'd be ok if all of winter was just like this...
  8. At least I'm on the right side of the gradient......for now.
  9. Pardon my "French" but that's a true kick in the nuts if I ever saw one...
  10. My local forecast for next Saturday. I'm sure everyone else's is similar. Saturday A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  11. A better look at our little overperformer this morning. We got double what was forecast. Now, if only that would happen when 6-12 is predicted...lol
  12. Just about over, but still snowing lightly at 5:30am. This time I was able to measure, and we got 2 inches of fresh powder.
  13. If there is, we're not set up for it. Our butterfly valves on the 8000 gallon tanks aren't a problem. It's the push rod ones on the 6000's that we need to hit with the torch.
  14. Me too. It sucks as they blow out the hand torches we use to thaw out the caps and valves on the hoses and trailers.
  15. So I'm not as weather savvy as some of you so I'm wondering, why are we getting these consistent, unrelenting high winds? Usually we have a windy day (or two) after a storm, but then they subside. The cold I can handle, even though it sucks when you haul water for a living, but the wind that's going along with it is just brutal.
  16. I just wish it would warm up already. I hate cold and wind, and if we're not going to see any significant snow, than I'd rather have mid 40s than low 20s.
  17. So we got about one inch here in Tamaqua. Roads got a bit funky for a couple hours, but overall it wasn't that bad. Scared drivers held me up more than the snow itself would have.
  18. Ran into the snow in Tamaqua after I left Hazleton. Sitting here in Allentown eyeballing about a half inch in light to moderate snow.
  19. Nothing up in Tamaqua/Hazleton yet. Gotta go to Allentown after I empty here, so we'll see down there.
  20. Yeah, it sure is. It would almost be like watching a time lapse video in real life.
