    Mr. Tamarack, on another subject, i have some young (5-10 years) oak trees that were budding and had small leaves when the frost hit a couple weeks ago. now all the vegetation is dead/wilted. will these trees come back? a couple I don't care a lot about, but there is one (the older of the 4) that I really don't want to be dead. thoughts?

    i noticed this past weekend fewer black flies but more mosquitos. At least bug spray mostly keeps the skeeters away, but it has zero effect on the blackies. while on my morning walk today, I was thinking that it seems like the overnights have been fairly chilly. I don't mind the cool overnights-keeps me from installing.

    yeah I have a bunch of young maples out in my way back yard that took a licking with the cold the other morning. saggy and droopy. I also have a few young oaks, all the tiny leaves and stuff look dead. i am sure both maples and oaks will come back after some rain and warmer temps. or so I really really hope!

    i just noticed it in my area this morning. Yes, it got smoked. i really wish that was all it would take to get rid of that shit, but we know it will be back, and it will be back big. I hate that stuff with the fire of a million suns. almost as much as I hate oriental bittersweet.

    there are products that you can spray on the plants to keep the deer away. Just don't smell it, it is horrific, but the smell goes away quickly
