I dunno ... it's 73/60 here with mostly sunny skies at the moment. Little if any noticeable wind.
Yet there's this steady diet of grousing being served by y'allz when I came back in.
I think there's a tendency here to hide in the virtual realm provided by the internet, ...get obsessed, then get angry that it's not creating a the virtual impression you want.

Take face off portable access device and/or PC and go outside and enjoy.

But I hope to hell this heat verifies...I hope it gets so hot and so humid that EVERYONE melts when installing. I hope it's so freaking uncomfortable everyone complains.

Our town is now in the "alert" phase. (And EAB is only four towns away since some numbskull moved a few of the critters to the WVL area.)
I'm all but immune to poison ivy; my only reaction came after a morning of ripping the stuff from behind our church parking lot where kids would play. Had a very mild case on my right forearm above the latex glove, a spot that had certainly been in contact over and over during the 4 hours of fun I'll not intentionally challenge browntail moth hairs, but perhaps my sensitivity would be lower.speaking of the EAB-do they go away once they destroy all the ash? I ask because I haven't seen any in a couple years. they already killed almost all the ash trees in my hood. I have a smaller ash tree that if you look at the top, it is dead. but if you look up from directly underneath the tree, there is a lot of new growth down low. think it will survive?

I have a Japanese maple (forget the name but it’s quite valuable) that I think suffered from Stein last year. I noticed the leafout this year was rather thin. I also noticed a ton of helicopter seeds as well on the branches. Is this something normal, or do trees do this when they are unhealthy and close to dying? I just hope it’s a phase and it comes back next year.
I would be giving it a good amount of water if i were you.
I am sure @tamarackwill be around to give you real advice

What a terrible start to June.
where we at for temp departures so far? 6/1 and 6/2 WAN of course, but since 6/3 it's been pretty shitty, I assume most sites are BN for the last 5 days

Does it make up for this crap on June 7th? 49° at 1:00 pm sort of sucks. I’m lucky (really?) to currently be in Moline, IL for a conference. It’s a pleasant 73° here.
visiting Deere, John are ye?

Had a suspicion models would start going back the other way. Instead of a rainy cold weekend. Trending towards dryer with sunny breaks and 60’s instead of rains and 40’s
