Looks like long range charts for the warm February we just had to me.

ya if that verifies F this Winter! You can see it now, the weenie long range will finally verify this one time once the calendar flips to spring .. But it'll be too late and still produce 30s and rain.

I kinda wanna start a thread for what could be a historic heat burst  -  conjectural +15+ diurnal means for 3 days ?    ...

We don't get ours in July's like they do in Eurasia, probably do to converging continental with subtropical meridian flows.  It's hard to extend BL when the DPs 78 degrees when there's whole country's aerosol anus pointing right at us, while we're so close to sea level/air density.   I suspect that's why we've been getting so many 92/77 days under 590 hgts.   They're doing 104 in Iowa with that where their sigma starts at 700 feet.

Anyway, we get our synergy heat in springs it seems.   Can't wait until BTV is 100 on May 8th while HFD is 82 with a S wind.

We were mid to upper 90s mid April last year..

70 F at most climo sites on March 1 and … everywhere else, is between  25 and 30 abv nornal

Let’s not belittle the matter.  It’s not that common.

Doing so as often as it has in the last 10 years is alarming.

But these occurrences have couched 80 as well.

Just looking at wiz’s chart BDL is hitting 70 over the last 20 years just as frequently as the 1960-1980 period.

    as far as 80 . BDL hit 80 4 times before 1990 3 times since 1990.

off first glance 60s seem more prevalent recently

70s in March was common 70 years ago per my memory.  I used to realize that March would often give you the first 70 and April 80.  Didn’t happen every year but it was common enough.

Ya 70s in March aren’t unusual.  I remember one year maybe 97 or 98 we hit  88.

Nice 18z 12k NAM run so far. That QPF just keeps bumping north

Wow, with some decent ratios, that would get warning criteria in NYC metro suburbs.. We have some big accounts there, might have to bump up there this evening if this does actually bump north.. This was congrats DC to Philly yesterday
