  1. You can lead a horse to the water but you can make them drink it
  2. First week or Feb on EPS, cold and mainly dry probably moves in after the first 7 days , the warmth just looks like 1-2 cutters, we mainly stay average temp wise.
  3. GEPS and GEFS look similar, GEFS has cold more in the west central US. Ton of pacific blocking on all ensembles. Hell of a cold signal thus far out, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a strong signal this far out.
  4. She’s not going to lets us out. After the early Feb cutter and mini torch it looks active with plenty of cold nearby, looks good for at least CNE+ NNE, let’s see what plays out.
  5. Ya elevated Southbury is like 50-55” 30 year average.. sucks last 7 years is like 30-35”
  6. Refresher before the big melt a few days after
  7. 30 year average is between 40-50” in this area. Those big storms don’t come around that often. We get a 20” storm once a decade.. we need 2-3 “ warning plus” snows in this area to reach climo plus several nickel and dimers.
  8. That Feb 2 storm signal was there on 00z Euro. 6z gfs had a beefed up clipper mid next week for SNE. 6z euro woulda been similar if it ran out further.
  9. A lot of temps around -15 in Litchfield county impressive.. Coldest I see is -16
  10. https://x.com/ericfisher/status/1881900372295643544?s=46&t=YsfF3qVSJM44fkGQFZwFHg
  11. I think in an epic snow pattern he’d be just like all of us, this is probably just his way to cope with the shit winters we’ve had recently
  12. Official records set in Mobile and Pensacola, I’m sure New Orleans will be confirmed soon.
  13. Guy in the comments had a legit 12.3” in the city
  14. Going to be several all time records at big climo spots.. BTW the trend northwest has been remarkable with this Atlanta now getting some accumulating snow and parts of NE North Carolina that 36 hours ago weren’t expecting snow are now under the gun for 6-12”!
  15. 13.7" on the season. Seymour, CT
  16. Great job with the storm. You got the dub. 2-4” will do it for most around us, probably 4”+ in that 700mb band that clipped Litchfield and then 4”+ band somewhere in NE CT
  17. Just as we thought, this is the storm, now until 10pm.. going to have to do some work to get to warning criteria.. Lets see what happens, edit just saw that band is laying down 2" per hour, so there is a chance at 6" if it lasts for 2 hours..
