If you look at MADIS they seem to be consistently 2F warmer than surrounding stations for years. It could just flat out be error. When I looked at the temp map after you questioned it it did appear they should’ve been around 98° for a high. But I don’t know much about that site so I’ll defer.

Would've been an easy 102F there before we made BDL great again.

Man I'm not sure BDL is gonna do it. Maybe they slipped a 100F in there, but there's a lot of 36C obs mixed in with the strings of 37C...ie bouncing between 97 and 98.

OK...those are local "storm" reports for extreme heat. I thought they were hourly sfc obs.

The 101F is probably in there...just can't "see" it in the 5 min obs. But they've had an hour of 38C which is 100 or 101.

That's the first June 100F at CON since 1919.

The 5 min obs are 1 min obs every 5 minutes...they're still part of the 5 min running mean. Trust them. They're real.

Those are official 1min obs. So 38C (100.4 converted) is a guaranteed 100F
