  1. Funny thing is that despite what almost was…5” is a nice event no matter. I set my bar at 12”. I’m now adjusting down to 4-6”. I’ll take that any and every day no matter what the models said coulda happened.
  2. Ground just starting to cave here. Steady snow. Yay
  3. For those who can’t get enough of this sport….go look at nooner Euro. we ain’t done yet Blizz
  4. Congrats. Just flipped here. No stickage yet but hoping that changes soon. we have ground to cover….and fast.
  5. With all due respect you won’t find that answer here, so stop wasting your time. As you can see, This is a fun hobby for most of us. We get your frustration, but sharing it time and time again is old. If you enjoy weather then hang out and have fun sharing your thoughts and ideas. Otherwise…Just stop
  6. Some mesos started to show the Lanco donut hole last evening and my eyebrows raised as I knew mesos do quite a good job when in their wheelhouse. They were correct. we have flipped in Akron. Steady light snow.
  7. Who defended them? Gfs absolutely led the way. Others followed. Like it or not we are still 50 miles away from boomtown. As I’ve said to you before you like to see something on a models and expect it to happen. Most of us that have been doing this a long time know better and have said so. We don’t bash the models because we know there is more to it than modelwatching. You don’t get that…and we do. We also inderstand model tendencies and bias. You don’t. You want perfect. How bout you go away and I’ll let you know when we find perfect, or just listen and learn while injecting your thoughts as to why you knew they’d be wrong…
  8. I found the switch. Just need to hold it down. Flakage flip underway in Akron.
  9. Intensity picking up here. Just gotta find the switch so I can flip it. Hehe.
  10. We are trying to understand why you are here. You offer nothing but pessimism and everything you hate about models but offer little to the real discussion. For many of us this is fun even when jt doesn’t work out as per the best snowmap seen during the last couple days. We too are bummed but know better as this isn’t our first rodeo.
  11. Have you ever bought into any model? The constant negative undertones are tiring…
  12. Yeah looks like the fun is starting below us and coastal is starting to cool the column. Should get going in next hour r so.
  13. And as I type first legit flakes stating to mix in. here we go….for whatever we get. Just enjoy it.
  14. I think the optimism was peaked when we saw early morn start a couple days ago and yesterday we saw enough warmth to warrant caution as the notable snows and qpf shifted twds afternoon. We all knew any shift east could mean a lot with us on western periphery. It’s still going to snow and be a nice storm, but as often the case with marginal antecedent it takes rates. We don’t have them yet but will later. light rain and maybe a couple flakes mixed in. I’ll keep looking out the window waiting for the changeover. Hopefully soon. Enjoy the day gang.
  15. Hate to say it, but its been on my mind since last evening. We've seen this before, but as this storm has been different (regarding modeling), I was hoping to buck normal tendencies. Just gonna have to roll w/ it. Still Sunday funday and a tie game. 3rd period should be excititng.
  16. Im in it as well. Starting to fill. Gonna start soon USA USA USA!!
  17. We are lucky to have you. You make us proud. Well done friend. Not often do we get to see writeups like that for this area
  18. This is why many of us are here, but yeah, we hang out w/ some good folks as well. Enjoy all. This is the good stuff (even if a little east for my liking).
  19. It’s time, but gotta raise eyebrow at gfs. We knew this west look would stop at some point. Took break from cuttin wood. NAM fr the win. I hope. lol.
  20. wow that is just a beaut. Now how do we get that to verify?? Thats a forum pleaser right there. I still question the hard NW cutoff w/o 1040hp pressin from the north, and am hoping for the NW qpf shield to expand as we get closer. Been a gut feeling based on SLP being a bomb with little resistance from the NW. Thats why trough axis hase been what I'm keying on. more neg she goes, more west qpf expands.
  21. yeah it was a good one, but thought I should PG it a bit. Not sure if that weathergal is real or not, but wowwy.
  22. looks like your call was a good one. inevitable shift W has ceased. It's going to be a hell of an event for coastal locals. Still some fun back here.
