  1. Cut down a few extra pines and start making caskets to sell.
  2. Yeah. Little bit icy look Get the salt ready NH
  3. My son was a retail worker from March-September (seasonal). He never complained about the virus itself or wearing a mask despite being outdoors doing lifting, etc. he mostly complained about the assholes who would get in his face about masks etc. I have had grocery store workers complain a little to me but again mostly about the customers who treated them poorly. Our son’s GF is a CNA and has been working on floors with Covid. She has not complained about the virus but about PPE etc early on.
  4. Persons Commuting for Work or School: People who regularly commute, at least weekly, outside of Massachusetts to a fixed place to attend school or work or any person who regularly commutes, at least weekly into Massachusetts to a fixed place to attend school or work; provided that in either case, this exception applies only to and from the person’s residence and place of work or school. Workers or students who travel to any place that is not their home state for personal or leisure reasons cannot rely on this exemption
  5. Is the clean crew still happening? Or whatever it is called.
  6. The church I belong to has a small school. Used to be much larger. They reached their capacity this year with people wanting their kids to go. It used to kinda suck. But smaller class sizes, no MCAS.
  7. Our hybrid has been working well so far, but soooo many parents have been pulling their kids for remote, which now means the remote "classes" are getting huge, so other teachers are now being pulled from hybrid to teach remote. I have been informed that in a couple of weeks I also will be teaching a section of social studies...lol That should be fun. After today, we are all remote for 2 weeks, and the hope is to come back for hybrid. I doubt that happens before January
  8. No... I knew what was going to happen regardless of what they said. Our union has been working pretty well with admin for this. We are basically ****ed due to staff cuts, and the switching back and forth of models due to rising Covid. Just need to get through this year.
  9. A place in North Carolina opened a couple of days ago... not sure if that was for public skiing, but they were first I believe Edit Sugar Mountain NC opened Thursday
  10. Wachusett started spinning lifts before 9AM today... looks a bit sketchy but hey... skiing
  11. According to CDC, they consider full in person to be high risk. My wife is doing full in person other than the kids whose parents kept them home
  12. A few points...and some are getting off the rails political... In Massachusetts at least there has been a centralized curriculum since the mid 1990s. That’s what we all teach from. We are given autonomy to teach it more or less in the way we see fit. Schools are being closed not by unions. That is a right wing taking point that has been disproven numerous times. The CDC itself has walked back the push to keep schools open in communities where spread is large The district I work in now has an overall 14 day positive average of 7.75%. I will have my kids in front of me today. Weekly student and staff positive cases are more than doubling each week. Every day we have more and more parents who had signed up for their kids to be in school pulling them back into remote. The community decides this. Fun times
  13. Yeah. Since my work has “customers” in it again I am wearing a mask for a good chunk of the day. I am going with the paper ones while teaching. The pre order system is great at WDW.
  14. That’s all I could think of How is the trip so far?
  15. Just for comparison, Wyoming statewide was testing at 90% positive yesterday. How the hell does that happen?
  16. I saw him with Harv on TV last night. Maybe January rocks?
  17. Wachusett might open for a bit very soon. My son is on call if they decide to open. Not bad considering it was in the 70s last week
  18. We are still on the fence about going to my brother in law’s for Thanksgiving as we usually do. It would not be a large gathering anyway but we would prob have to bring my mother in law who is 89 and has some health issues. Between my wife, daughter and I we are each in three different schools. My nephews are in two other schools. The odds would not be great. I am for punting it this year. and I really don’t care what neighbors do. They can have a hootenanny for all I care
  19. The gym I had belonged to previously has put up all sorts of plastic/plexi barriers between pieces of equipment, spread stuff out, etc. I am personally preferring the home workouts I started in March but I'm glad to see the gyms have been safe so far
  20. Buuuutttt.... my wife's cardio pulmonologist (a bigwig at UMass Medical) recommended that she avoid the gym if she could She has several underlying conditions, but worked out a ton...
