  1. One good thing that is coming out of this is the place I went to for the beach last summer is doing the reserved space/parking/drink service thing again.
  2. The creativity in the names and sub genres are awesome too. And I can’t believe it isn’t legal in NH. That won’t last.
  3. I’m all for them doing big business and making people happy. But I would not want to live next door to one of the large grow facilities. Those stink. We drove by the one on 146 in...Sutton?... yesterday. With the Windows up in our car you could smell it. There is a big one in Athol as well that reeks
  4. I haven’t been wearing one at the barbers in a while. My haircut takes under 5 minutes though. Lol.
  5. Yep. They had a balloon (rather a series of balloons) that spelled it out. Good times
  6. On an unrelated note: just drove past the local dispensary. It was like a giant party going on with balloons, food trucks etc.
  7. I would say Mass drops those before Mother’s Day. Maybe by May 1. No one really follows them anyway. And if someone doesn’t the police etc don’t care A few Karen’s maybe
  8. Depends where you were I guess. The market I go to had the arrows until a few weeks ago. Most people followed them when it was crowded and less so when the store was empty. Those are gone now We were just in a Walmart and a few of the aisles still had them but only at one end which is useless anyway
  9. So I’m a little confused. The numbers of people under 30 contacting Covid are increasing? Those are CDC numbers from what I understand. If they do get it , very little risk though as far as death/long term problems. That has been pretty well documented It happens sometimes but so does getting hit by a bus
  10. I would still like to see the US daily deaths be under 300 or so. Right now we would still be looking at 170-200k yearly deaths if these rates continued. Fortunately it is trending down.
  11. Thinking this is a hoax/conspiracy?
  12. Yeah. I wanted no part of that.
  13. The testing I did was just the outer nose swab. For the last few times I did it myself Our son gets tested twice per week at his U and it is self administered outer nose. No big deal.
  14. They were offering testing at my building once a week for a couple of months after work so I went. They stopped doing it at my building and moved it to another one across the city so I stopped. Plus all vaxxed up anyway.
  15. Red Sox for sure. Outdoors etc. plus their season lasts until October. I think by July 100%. Bruins...not so sure. When are they done? Maybe they go to 25% then 50%? But they will be done this season before 100% is my guess
  16. Just dined inside with my 89 year old mother in law (vaccinated) and our (vaccinated) college age kid. That was very enjoyable. Looking forward to the plexiglass being taken down soon Second time dining at Aiden’s Pub in Bristol RI. Good Irish food and drink. Bangers and mash for me
  17. Still have patches of snow lingering from Friday. Should all be gone by afternoon.
  18. Sweaty students returning. That’s something I didn’t miss
  19. Similar here. I think I was off by an inch
  20. I got more in April that all of Jan and March combined
  21. You def need to be able to get the room pretty dark but they are def better than even a few years ago. And not that expensive like you said. Then of course you need a sound system but those aren’t bad. We just use a soundbar. The projector Would not work for my house because we don’t have a wall big enough (lots of Windows)
  22. Yeah. I think that is July as well?
  23. Having a 65”-75”+ screen with a decent soundbar or system is definitely more doable for many. The home experience can also reduce distractions and offer other benefits (pausing for the bathroom etc) Our great room/family room is set up as a theater-ish with reclining seats etc But I still like to sit in a proper theater.
  24. Theater visits were already down prior to Covid. 5% in 2019. As Phin (and I many months ago) and others have posted, boutique theaters (with food etc) will be what survives This has been forecast for literally decades. I am interested in the July release of Black Widow. Curious to see how it does when compared to similar Marvel films like Ant Man, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel (in terms of scope)
