Some of my neighbors bought rain barrels (they have big gardens/flower beds) which is odd since we all use private wells.

Here in the hinterlands we have these newfangled things called hoses, sprinklers, and watering cans. Have those been available in the big city?

We have a cherry tomato plant that is producing tons of fruit. In the last week or so it has been making some odd looking ones. We are at over 50 tomatoes from that one hanging plant

Yeah we are kayaking in the glacial lagoon next to Diamond beach. But we will be there in the morning.

Yeah. My aunt goes there (Iceland) quite often and has given us lots of info. Plus we have watched a zillion videos. Seems pretty easy to do a lot of great things there. Looking forward to fermented shark

Rental car prices are nuts right now. I finally pulled the trigger on my car rental for my Iceland trip... got hosed due to the supply/demand. Just for fun I compared a similar trip in some US areas and prices were not as far off as I imagined. Last year the rental car companies sold off their fleets and have not been able to purchase enough newer vehicles to replace them. In Florida, people have been renting Home Depot trucks/vans and using those as rental cars to go to Disney etc

If I lived in a state like Mississippi or Missouri I would expect a return to masks if more don’t get vaccinated. I’m not worried about that happening in New England. I just don’t understand the large scale hesitancy there.

I did a trip like that 30+ years ago. There was a lot of drunkenness. I had heard they had clamped down a bit on that. Last time we kayaked on the Saco after a big rain our son’s kayak got caught in a strainer for a while.
