  1. Also regarding the soda water anything in aluminum cans went up last year due to those prices going up
  2. Yup. Lack of truckers especially those with hazmat endorsements. That could cause gas hikes.
  3. I disagree. I’m the one who does the food shopping in my house (for 20+ years) and I don’t see the prices up overall that much. Some items yes. Paper good and cleaning supplies have been gouged
  4. Anyone travel to Iceland recently (pre pandemic or during). Thinking of going this summer
  5. “In 2021, food-at-home prices are expected to increase between 1.0 and 2.0 percent, and food-away-from-home prices are now expected to increase between 2.5 and 3.5 percent. Despite these predicted increases, inflation for most food categories is expected to be at or below their 20-year historical averages—exceptions include nonalcoholic beverages, other foods, and fresh fruit.”
  6. My weekly grocery bill says otherwise. Some items yes but I’m still buying chicken breast for $1.88 per pound.
  7. Although right now inflation seems to be rather tepid for the year as a whole. I’m sure it will increase
  8. Undoubtedly. Food prices have been ticking up over the past year or so. Now things like steel (and lumber obviously) are going to the moon. Rough go ahead for many
  9. Meh. The Dow doesn’t seem to care
  10. Your Davis tells all...lol Soccer tourneys?
  11. Nah... we will need to be installing for Summah
  12. Yeah... could happen. NAM and HRRR are sometime bullish on precip... and both show nada pretty close to him... coin flip for rain or no rain for him
  13. Pretty scattered tho... he might wind up dry (although I would not bet on it)
  14. Looks pretty paltry to me... mabe 0.10-0.20" for him...less for me
  15. The only tornado I ever saw was in Baltimore... 2015 or so? Right near Fort McHenry Edit... looks like 2013
  16. Do it the day before it gets HHH... so May 19 as per KPS
  17. A lot of state owned land as well
  18. That particular business is “interesting “ to say the least
  19. Lol. At the farm stand with mulch? I’m about 1.5 miles north of their on a side road.
  20. Come out to the boonies of N Central MA. Cheap houses aplenty. Teeth not so much
  21. Some good investment opportunities in cities like that if you know what you are doing...which I don’t. Lol. I wouldn’t live there just due to the humidity, never mind crime etc.
  22. At some point (maybe in many years) those areas will also undergo gentrification and become desirable again. A number of smaller cities that no one was interesting in 10 years ago are really booming (Indianapolis, Nashville etc).
  23. I wish people would build in my podunk town... maybe there would be a big enough tax base that they could fix the roads... turns out that 80% of the land in my town is owned by the state (DCR and watershed) so a lot of building won't be happening. I would also love a wind turbine in my backyard if I could plug into it...lol
  24. I still think there is a market for smaller, more affordable starter homes, but right now, it makes more sense to be building the bigger ones for reasons you mentioned.
  25. 0.8” out here since midnight
