  1. When that stuff comes down it’s gonna be another storm. Probably add an inch or two to the pack in the woods. Looks exactly the same here
  2. It’s been an amazing three days in central New Hampshire. In terms of the scenery and your pictures capture it really well. Tomorrow the next day, the snow will start to fall from those trees, but in the meantime, let’s keep enjoying it.
  3. It’s gon bring that thing far enough inland to nail you, but you gonna be cold enough too. Embrace.
  4. Look,Tip has a way with words, so I’m going with Hook and Latter.
  5. I don’t know. I think the high-pressure from the high latitudes would force redevelopment on the coast wouldn’t it? I think that could be good for all of New England, but the mid Atlantic would struggle.
  6. Let’s just how the 50-50 doesn’t become too suppressive
  7. I've been thinking that for at least up here I don't buy the notion of 10 dry days. If so, then the the pattern has changed (no matter with qqanon thinks). Maybe a little shortwave that drops 2-4, maybe a warm-up as you said. Maybe a Scooter high that cools us off if we get a cutter later next week. I mean, who knows. And a few sunny days in the 30s will feel good. The models have not been stellar...and this is a big climo period for snow up here. I'm at 33", and I expect by March 15 to be at or above my seasonal norm of 70.
  8. Wouldn't an SSW imply that at least the HL blocking stays around? And when those blocking episodes are strong, don't they tend to persist for several weeks? Thanks.
  9. Might be different if you lived up where I live. And vice versa.
  10. This thread is about dead, but I’ll say this has been an unexpected special storm. Because of the lack of wind, and probably the clouds today, the thick snow has stayed in the trees. Outside it looks like the storm just ended. The woods walk this afternoon was spectacular. Given the forecast, it should be great weather for woods wanders this week as we wait for the next stormy spell. a few shots from today, sorry the resolution looks sh*tty.
  11. You found a weather weenie husband?! Mine just looks at me and rolls his eyes. That is probably true for most in relationships on here. Although I think Will is married to a meteorologist.
  12. We should call dibs on the thread. If it is there on Feb 8 I say we pull the trigger (but impatience may cause us to do it on Feb 6, leading inevitably to us being blamed when someone gets porked.
  13. Who will Mother Nature pick to be her valentine? That could be a good thread title in a week.
  14. Been snowing all morning. maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Its been nice but I'm looking forward to the sun.
  15. I’m looking forward to some sun in the next 10 days. It would feel good and it’s good for our health. Also, my panels need some real sunny days.
  16. When there is a pack, the period between storms is fantastic. You’re not distracted by tracking and worrying and you just enjoy. What is outside. Get out there and enjoy what you have. If what people are mostly doing is spending their time online looking for the next Shot of adrenaline with each model run and then this is an excruciating. For any of you, who can I recommend just taking a quick two day trip somewhere up north where there’s snow
