  1. Yeah, I misspoke. It stopped at my office, which is 3 miles from my house at the rear entrance to the neighborhood. It's still snowing pretty good up at the house, which is about half a mile from the state line. It's almost clear down here...weird... Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  2. Well, it just stopped snowing. It had been falling since around dusk on Sunday. It put me over 16" on the season. Not bad for something that wasn't in the forecast at all.
  3. I spoke too soon. We had a burst of moderate snow and I'm over 3" for the event now. This fluffy stuff adds up quick. Back down to flurries now and I can see blue sky to the southeast.
  4. Is it just me or are the models backing off of the potential for this weekend? Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah, it apparently never stopped snowing here. Didnt amount to much overnight, just another quarter inch or so..2.5" total. Currently sitting at 4.7°.
  6. Thanks guys. Yall can call me Tim, btw. Any of you guys down around Franklin and Sylva seeing anything?
  7. Went up to the AT on Big Bald after work. Easily over 2" up there with huge flakes flying. It's been snowing for 24 hours now and still going. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  8. Well, today has been a great winter day. Had a high today of 9.1° about an hour ago, and it has snowed all day. I dont think the orientation of the flow tonight is going to do much for me, but I already picked up just over 1.75". I am not complaining. Hope you folks down around the highlands get something this evening.
  9. Checking back to the west on mPING. Looks promising for the southern mountains tonight.
  10. That energy coming down from the midwest looks impressive. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  11. Even down at my office on Bald Mtn. Rd there's about the same amount. Makes me wonder what that moisture-starved piece of energy might be able to wring out as it passes to the SW tonight. Maybe the SW mountain folks can get a little something as well. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  12. Woke up to almost an inch of powder outside. Still snowing pretty good too and 7.4°/6.
  13. Just walked outside. We have flurries here as well! And dang is that a cold NW wind. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  14. It's nice just to have something to be somewhat optimistic about.
  15. You can really see that in this gif of the last 12 gfs runs at 12z Tuesday. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  16. GSP seems pretty confident it'll be too moisture starved. I'm hoping for a surprise, but the way this winter is going I'm expecting disappointment.
  17. Yeah, still waiting on something over 3" up here, but I lived in central SC for 30 years. Believe me, I feel fortunate to live where I do. Tuesday continues to interest me...
  18. At least they stopped posting every 240+hr snow map they could find 4 times a day. It's been entertaining. And I can't tell when Mack is serious and when he's sarcastic, lol. Maybe it's his profile pic throwing me off. I'm optimistic about the upcoming pattern. I don't think it would take too much tweaking to make next week interesting. Are the Great Lakes still unfrozen? Asking for a friend... I'm kinda curious about this weekend too.
  19. The long term disco is an absolute dumpster fire. What happened to waiting until storms get closer to the mid range before we start posting clown maps four times a day? Come on y'all, we're better than this.
  20. Possible tornado in Horry County about an hour ago. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
  21. That's one thing I love about our group. We don't live and die with every run. In other news, it is seriously windy tonight! Several gusts over 50 mph in the last few hours with a max of 59.
  22. That's a nice blue norther. I experienced a few of those living in Sherman, TX.
  23. Just went to my house for lunch, 27° and light snow still with around 1.5" on the ground. Add another nickel and dime to the piggy bank.
