  1. I got a feeling I'm not quite high enough for anything, but if it happens above 5000 you better believe you guys will be seeing a video from the top of my mountain. It's 5516 at the top of the Bald.
  2. I'm in double digits for the season already. I can't complain!
  3. I'm fine with that. I need to put a new exhaust system on my jeep anyway. Odds are that we'll cash in sooner or later, so we may as well enjoy it!
  4. Had a morning low of 10.8° around 630. 24 hours earlier it was 51°.
  5. I'm over an inch and its still coming down pretty hard. 22.8°/21
  6. The temp has dropped 20° since noon here, down to 31.2° with flurries and a lot of wind.

  8. So you're saying there's a chance...lol 13 members have at least 1" for my location.
  9. Hopeful this one will get me into double digits for the season!
  10. I've picked up a little less than an inch so far. It's coming down pretty good at the moment so I might get to an inch before its over. Just enough to cover the mud!
  11. Anomalously quiet in the lower 48 on the Euro during that time frame. It could be right, but how often is the entire country that quiet in mid December?
  12. There were three more in a perfect line before that pic was taken. It wasn't until they disappeared that I thought to get a pic. And they reappeared after 20-30 minutes. Stellarium doesnt show much of anything in that area oriented like those lights at that exact moment. Just a single satellite. I'm not claiming to know what they were, but I know I have never seen something in the sky do that before lol!
  13. Thanks! That was the first time I shot a moonscape with my new fisheye lens. We also saw several (for lack of a better word) UFOs to the east towards Mcdowell/Burke County. They would alternate between barely visible and as bright as the ISS repeatedly. Thought they might be aircraft but they stayed perfectly still for over ten minutes. Thought they might be satellites, but I've never seen satellites change color or reilluminate after going into the umbra. And now yall think I'm crazy, lol.
  14. Really nice (and cold) night on the Appalachian Trail. Took this with my Nikon around 9 heading up Big Stamp just across the state line into TN.
  15. Ditto for me. 2". Better than nothing, but this time last year I was approaching 2' for the season. I'm ready for a real snow.
  16. I have about this much on my deck. Sleet is mixing in with the snow atm. 28.2°.
  17. 30.4° and snowing currently. Doesn't appear to be mixed with rain or sleet either.
