I'm shocked we only have a wwa here, been snowing varying intensity since mid morning and closing in on 5" here and I'm around 1000'...had some serious catpaws for a couple hours, very wet dense stuff too... pleasant overachiever here, may get me over 30" on the season!

funny, I just had a Facebook memory from last year, pretty much sharing the same sentiment of this year in terms of lack of storms and snowfall...iirc, we did get one good weekend in late February and one big deal in March.which saved the winter from total disaster

I'm up in Burlington for a couple days and my dad said there was 2.5" in Winsted, anyone close to confirm? I hate when I'm not there to measure, and don't yet have a cam to record. thanks in advance...btw, nice dumpage up here on Friday, looks like about two feet otg in Burlington maybe a bit less depending on where you go.

i was down in NC for work at the pollen apocalypse last year, never saw anything like that before...then returned home just in time for our pollen season... it's no joke down there, literally like snow accumulation on cars etc.

4.3" total, too bad the backend came so quick was coming down nicely and then just shut off.

it seems like forever when we had a winter where we were comparing pack depth, regionwide, i know some have had a couple of good recent winters with lasting pack, but it seems imby, as soon as the snow melts we get another and it melts and ao on... last winter I remember with a lasting sizable pack was I believe 13-14, the first year we moved to Winsted, and 10-11 was great in Waterbury with that January to remember, who knows, I've seen stranger things happen in meh winters, we could go on a run from mid January to March and be running naked, or we can be tanning napes...

yeah too bad the inch of precip was wasted on 33 rain here for the most part, or we'd be crushing right now, congrats on the accumulation out east and north

any obs of a lightening strike in NW CThills? could have sworn we all heard thunder...btw, ip/needles for the last hour, down to 31/30, almost changed on a dime here.

closing in on an inch...of rain... still at 34/32, winss now ENEat5 gusting to 12...i can see the hill in the distance that's probably about 1200', and it appears to be glazed at the top half of the hill, can't be positive of that but it would make sense. reports from Norfolk are some accretion.

down to 34/33 in Winsted and the wind has picked up and shifted to the east now, hopefully any ice holds until my wife gets home

yeah I'm not digging this map... another please...one thing I don't like is ice, i can deal if it is on top of the snow but straight ice sucks

i hear you man... that was one of the worst I've seen, I still have some patches in the driveway where sun didn't hit that are an inch of ice

not liking my spot for this at all... I'd rather cold rain than another half inch of ice on an inch of snow is like concrete... spots in my driveway are still like an inch of ice, that was nuts
