  1. Absolutely, it's early, interesting to track
  2. Well, if it ain't snow, it's not an upgrade Ha
  3. I hear you, hoping that end week system trends colder, not really liking where it's going right now, but some more east members showing up, regardless it looks to be interesting
  4. She knows how much I value accurate values, being in my profession and all, and knows how much I love it...plus she's the best wife ever, just sayin...
  5. My wife is measuring 4.5 at home, I had her go back out and do multiple spots other than the board, confirmed...
  6. I'm so jello right now, while 80 and palm trees is nice and all, I've almost been here since Halloween...I want deep winter!
  7. Just spoke with wife back home and said it's been snowing since I think 9, possibly an inch otg? I'm stuck in juno Beach until tomorrow because evidence locker guy doesn't work on Sunday...regardless if I just drove all this way since Friday night...but at least they caught him and my stuff is untouched and I'll get home to winter
  8. How's this for the weather gods not wanting me to see snow...5am yesterday morning getting ready to head to PBI for my flight home, all my work laptops passport badges in car, I walk in the hotel to grab my luggage bag and within 2 minutes someone drove off with the car and my stuff. Had to catch my flight, so cops said they'd keep looking, I got home, pinged my phone from my wife's phone and found it, cops said all my stuff was untouched, so I got in my truck and headed back to south FL, to get it and now will miss the second snow fall, should be fun driving home tomorrow though
  9. if I can squeeze 3 out of this and a couple on the 15th, I'll be about 6" before Xmas, and almost a quarter of last year's total by mid December, that wouldn't be too bad... and my luck we'll get hammered while I'm back down here in mid January
  10. I remember that one, I was driving back from working in Queens that day, drive was a nightmare, if I'm thinking of the right one, was that the one that hit mid afternoon and wasn't expected to be much initially
  11. yeah I was going to say thought I remembered that from the Eastern days..
  12. yeah got 1.2" from that, then sleet and rain washed it away, there was a small pile of white by the time I returned from Florida that time, hoping for some good stuff before I have to come back in mid January for like 3 weeks...
  13. that is a cool site, hard to navigate on a phone, but a lot of nice strato info, to try and decipher... while I'm stuck back in Florida for a few days, just catching up on the goings on, I'm flying out on Friday, are we still looking at a possible retro this weekend?
  14. that's just insane " and to think only a small area if it trains right will see that and 30miles away hardly anything, my uncle lives just SW of buffalo I think Williamsport or burg something like that, one year I remember he got like 4-5'... this kind of event seems to happen like once a decade, I mean really large totals, I know it happens every year but not like that, no?
  15. fwiw, got a nice dusting after 4 this morning, looks and feels like December out there
  16. yeah love them awesome long duration ones, after looking through the archives, we had 25" at my then home in wtby, not sure what they got where I am now, I'll have to dig deeper, but definitely more the further SW you went, didn't Philly end up with like 3' or close to it? I remember I think Ashville NC, or somewhere near had over 4', good hammering Miller A up the coast. I personally prefer Miller B, but they are both awesome.
  17. 96 was one of my favorites at least when in Waterbury, it was the first time I had a truck, only had it for a few days, was in my mid 20s, and we driving around bar hopping all night with it. Probably one of the hardest I've seen it snow for a couple hour period after midnight, navigating by the faint glow of the street lights... believe we got 18-24" in that one can't remember exactly, but no ptype issues either as I recall.
  18. wife says over an inch in Winsted, everything covered looks gorgeous, still stuck here in FL, they're selling xmas trees next to palm trees while it's 85 just doesn't cut it to me
  19. my family hae property in Daytona Beach shores, about a mile from dunlawton, where that deck and lifeguard station went in, that entire zea wall was wrecked by Ian and this just put it over the top, lot of high rise condos, very near toppling into the Atlantic, crazy, I've been walking that stretch of beach since I was a kid, I may have to swing by on my way home just to assess the damage next week... crazy
  20. sad thing is most people only read headlines of clickbait articles these days and rarely read the article or research the facts of it...
  21. so.. after enduring Nicole here, . I leave here driving north up 81 on the 18th, chances I run into wintry on the way home?
