  1. oof! I was a 2 stretch 3, when I got older, so basically a shooting guard and in college my center was 7'2" so I averaged like 15 dimes a night, that was fun, we barely had enough to field a squad but was fun...
  2. I been balling my whole life too, now I coach, both my sons teams, if it ain't half court I'm winded after a couple of up and downs, hard to find an over 50 league around here where I'm not being ankle broke by someone who was me 30 years ago, HA!. went down to harbor freight this morning and slipping and sliding until Torrington
  3. Agree, I'm not a big seafood fan anyway, also pineapple is a no go either for me...I grew up in a ginny home, with everything homemade, didn't have ordered pizza until I was like 8, and never had mozzarella cheese on one until I was old enough to buy it myself. the best was my nonnis pizza with fresh basil, tomato and fresh pecorino...also fresh pasta, man that woman could cook...pack is dwindling away, hopefully second half of the month brings goods...
  4. Meanwhile in weather, it's raining out washing the crap off everything...
  5. lot of members just outside the BM, if we can trend those NW we can all have some fun
  6. was thinking same, if barkhamsted got 48", which I question as well, Great Barrington isn't that far away to have 14" more, 5+ feet of snow depth?
  7. i was in Waterbury that winter so 32" was the most I've ever seen in one snowfall
  8. need one of these to ease the mind... that's my truck in there and my car in the background completely covered in 2013, that was such a crushing storm...
  9. yeah I think I still have the forecast from ALY for 2015 showing 24-30" for my area, had like 10 hours of sand...
  10. 50s and even 60s was discussed within the last two weeks as soon as the warm up showed on long range... similar to how those get excited for a KU 380hr out and within a week are toaster bathin when it doesn't come to fruition.
  11. this was one of many storms that cashed in that area while WOR got skunked with a couple/few inches.
  12. 2 hour delay here in Winsted, had to drive my kid into school in Torrington, damn near fell down the deck stairs but roads are fine, sitting at 30.1 with drizzle zr
  13. we got this a week after I got my old bravada, AWD, and we went out pub crawling in it, snowing so hard at on point I had to use the glow of the street lights to navigate, we got 23" I believe in Waterbury on that one, fun times
  14. I picked up the fluffiest inch of snow from the earlier burst around 4, I could still see the deck through it, crazy stacking dendies, nothing falling now despite radar overhead...
  15. historically, our best timeframe for hecs, or just coastal storms in general, has been the last couple weeks of January into the first couple weeks of February...and then again around the ides of March...if we can squeeze out some bonus snows before and after that period and hope for a nice bomb in between, we can maybe reach climo avg for the first time in years in SNE...and elsewhere for that matter... here's to wishcasting for the new year! also, another year without a storm on my birthday tomorrow so I digress.
  16. bottomed out at 5.7 with a nice fresh snow, little dusting overnight was unexpected but take anything at this point, and agreed, we need a monster if only to get spirits up, and get closer to climo, which a lot haven't seen in a long time
  17. yessir, honestly haven't stayed up past midnight on New Year's or any other day in quite awhile now
  18. was shocked to wake up to 3+" otg was only expecting flurries after that initial burst. so, does it count as a Dec snow or Jan? because I was out before midnight, no idea when it went through
  19. going back in all the data I collected and plotted season totals, you can definitely see a cyclical pattern to the goods, we had a good stretch that peaked in 36, another that peaked in 56, again in 96, there are a couple stragglers in or outliers, put a definite trendline emerges... that said I believe we've bottomed out and will turn the corner eventually and get back to the goods, law of averages given a long enough time line
  20. would not be surprised to see a quick 2/3" in that I got a little over an inch and it was nowhere near that
  21. nice whitener after the melt today, only lost about half of what fell the other day if that tho, so bonus!
  22. nice unexpected quick inch of snow with fropa, blowing and temp dropping, tomorrow gonna be deep winter
  23. Winchester center reading 37, but my station has been at 30 all morning, either I need a new station or cold has locked in this little area, win center is up above 1100' if I'm not mistaken, I'll tell you what, it's a sheet of ice everywhere from deck to driveway, nearly bought it letting out the chickens
