Does the old guy who owns it still do the tasting at Taylor Brook?
Didn't see him there today so I'm not sure.

Went to the Woodstock Winery/Brewery, Taylor Brooke, great beers and good wine, they had a food truck and live entertainment. Came home with a pack of Sash Away, a berry wine, very tasty.

Stupid professional golfers with caddies who tell them the exact distances and clubs that they need to hit. They don't have to deal with that crap!
I had the right club and talked myself out of it, stupid, always go with your first inclination.

So we’ve established the Grinch effect is real.
I wonder if data would suggest Mother Nature hates 4th of July for New Englanders…lolI like a cool day on the 4th, hate to be outside with sweat running down my asscrack.

Did they mention what the average is?
no, it's been nice weather, maybe slightly above average but not much in the way of swamp azz heat.

It will come but usually we feel it by now. After a cool Mar-April and a coc May-June, we have maybe 6wks of summeh to produce heat. Not impressive at all, considering how many times we were told it would arrive early and was here to stay…since March. They was drunk.
I heard on the news this morning last year Boston already had 8 days above 90 by this date, this year zero.

Funny you say that, when I spent the day at Perkins and went out on one of the sailboats I forgot my hat and my head got sunburned and peeled a few days later.

Dryness matters for me. Heavy heavy investment in yard. Not just grass.
matters to me too, had a hell of a time trying to get my tee into the ground on some of the holes yesterday

Was striking the ball well tonight and putted well, wrong clubbed one hole and one bad shot and ended up 5 over, should have had par or at worst 1 over with better decisions. Great night to golf, cool and very little wind, perfect conditions.

On dead trees the section near the roots tends to be less stable and compressed. Also it's easier to get out of the way while standing than bent over if something starts going wrong. If the wood looks good after I fell the tree I'll cut the remainder.
I do the same, I leave enough so if cut it I get the size splits I want.

Hey guys...
I had not looked at this thread since last week. Now catching up. It is Monday evening. I just had New Hampshire's only TV station on and heard about the death of the of hiker. This got me very angry as some of this could have been avoided. Last Friday looking at the models it was clear that the weather would be very hazardous for hikers this past weekend. I don't know any of the WMUR TV mets other than messaging Hayley Lapoint a few times in the past. I didn't know if she would be on air last Friday but sent her an email saying that if she was she should hit this weather hazard pretty hard. She never responded, probably never saw it and in fact was not on air but Jackie Thomas was. I watched her. No mention of anything other than a cooler weekend coming up. No talk of anything out of the ordinary! I thought that was so irresponsible. I even sent Hayley a follow up email saying how I felt. How could she have missed this??? I feel like calling the news director and bringing this up to them.
Am I over reacting?? Here is a copy of my emails to WMUR last Friday afternoon...

Personally (shusshhh, don't tell) but you are the best Met. WMUR has. I don't know if you are working this evening or tomorrow but I'm just looking at the models and the higher summit weather conditions for tomorrow and Sunday. Really hazardous for folks that assume it will be a good day for a hike. Above treeline, conditions could be really bad with extreme June cold, wind and even icy rocks and snow showers. What will be a nice 70F day in Boston could be winter conditions above the treeline with below-freezing temperatures, snow showers and winds gusting over hurricane force. Tomorrow will be too cold for all the Lake Region boaters and they will be looking for other things to do. The perfect recipe for bad happenings. Thanks for all you do for New Hampshire.Gene Bank Bridgewater NH (one town south of Plymouth on the east side of Newfound Lake)PS. I may have given you this link in the past but I have a weather page. I have a Vantage Pro 2 that updates every 5 minutes. I also have 3 weather cams in my network. My Nest Cam at our house (1100 feet) with an unobstructed 35 mile view to the SW. My friends cam on Newfound Lake which looks NW (587 feet). Another friends cam at the top of our hill at 1500 feet looking west across Newfound Lake. During the winter it is interesting to see the difference of active precipitation at the 3 elevations all within a couple of miles. You are always free to use my Nest Cam on air. www.bridgewaternhweather.comHi Hayley,I just watched WMUR. Jackie Thomas was on. Other than to say tomorrow will be much cooler than today with the chance of a few scattered showers up north, no mention of anything out of the ordinary. I would have hit the hazards much harder but hey, I'm not a Met.Have a good weekend. GeneI'm not sure it's their responsibility to warn about top of the mountain weather, the hikers should do that on their own and there should be warnings at the base.

It’s $3 on the East Coast!
Honestly, there are plenty of decent wines for $8-$10I've never tried two buck Chuck but get my wine at a winery near me in Woodstock, they have a great red blend for a good price, I think I pay about $20 per bottle but worth it.

Same, I'm mostly beer a beer guy but a decent bottle of red is a nice treat. Especially with a good meal! I have a friend who manages a wine shop so I just ask him for his best recommendations under $15.

Great Open, goes to show the course doesn't have to be super long to be challenging. I can't imagine what I'd shoot on that course.

Was down to 59, just jumped up to 62.

My shrubs in front of my front porch were wildly out of control, I trimmed them all down to 2 feet, hope I didn't kill anything but I looked online and did my research. Cut down some Rhodies and boxwood and a couple other I can't remember what they are. Anyone have experience with this type of thing?

We stayed at Green Mountain Inn last winter and I liked it well enough. Right in the village and the hot tub in the room was pretty nice.
We've stayed there a couple times, once we rented one of the condos, it's a nice place and restaurant isn't bad.

Have not but my sister recommended it. We will hopefully just be sitting with a nice buzz on in Perkins Cove.
Did that one day, it was 80, we went on a sailboat for two hours, was still chilly on the water.

Heck of a second shot by Rory into 18. Hung in by his fingernails today. Rahm just took himself out of the lead with the poor bunker shot on 18. Should be a good day tomorrow.
Windy and cooler tomorrow, it's going to be brutal.

June pattern and forecast discussion

Went to a DH in the 70's with 3 friends, we had to wait in line because it was first come first serve and you saw both games for the price of one. Our seats were almost at the top maybe 3-4 rows below. It was high 90's and humid, we were drinking beer, btw were much cheaper back then and took our shirts off due to the heat. I paid for that move for a few days afterwards, I was burnt to a crisp and hungover from the cheap beer.
