Maybe it was one big band stretching from the NY border through the valley, maybe Will has the radar loop saved to his limbic system.
Will has it, I was right on the west edge of the band and picked up 20+, got lucky.

The Jan 11-12th area has been a good time for us last few years.

Looks like a little something which is better than a little nothing.

14-15 did well. Even Feb 2016 gave us a run. You’re better off to get a favorable flip in niño.
Wasn't 95-96 and 2014-2015 both good after the flip?

The biggest mistake a trader can make is holding on to a losing position and trying to convince everyone else why he is still correct and the market is wrong.
For stocks, sure you're dealing with people and emotions, mother nature has no emotions, she does what she wants when she wants and doesn't tell you if its coming.

From my limited time in Southborough totals always seem comparable to Milford . I don't know what Milford totals were.
I imagine they did well, they were east and caught the goods most storms.

I see no Southborough in cocorahs. I do see Southbridge COOP on the NWS site and they had 83.7” that season.
That's about right for my town, we didn't get the higher totals in most storms being on the western side but Westborough out to Southborough definitely had more than I did, I have pictures from Westborough when we had the highest pack and it was much more than me. I'd say over 100 for Southborough/Westborough.

I don't know next week might thread the needle. If not we wait until mid month
I see a couple opportunities if we get lucky, our luck on these marginal events has to change sometime.

I'd gladly give up Dec and half of January for a 2015 type blitz, not saying we're getting it this year but one can dream.

That's not even really an all northern New England but a higher elevation terrain for the most part. Depressing!

Even there it was only about a 20 day period if I remember right maybe around 1/25 to 2-10 or so. The rest of the winter was a torch there as well.
And march was shorts and tank tops

No this actually happened one winter. A moose must've gotten disoriented in fog or bad weather or at night and just walked off a cliff, landing upside down 100 feet below and found by skiers going to a popular area off the Gondola that starts under those cliffs.
What happened to the moose? he farted and you got a half of foot of snow?

When I first looked I’m thinking wtf? But that’s a strong pna which would probably keep us in good shape. We’ll see. Sometimes these tellies are just numbers with oscillations of a few hundred miles making big differences.
It does look more interesting after the cutter, could be a good month coming up.

Some expect 20" storms a couple times a month, we've been spoiled the last few years.

We have been quite fortunate around here with wildlife. About a week ago a barred owl caught a bunny in our backyard. He ran into trouble though because it was too big to take with him. He spent about three hours in the yard that morning, dragged it to the back of our garden by our fence and finished his meal there. I would post several pictures, but my space is limited and I have compress the file sizes. Here is a zoom shot 135mm with a Nikon D3200. Spotted another one about 2 miles from my house following day.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I have several shots if any are interested in more, but this one captures the owl nicely.
Went out to the garage to get firewood and there was a baby owl on my wood rack, my wife thought it was cute

I just completed a sellers disclosure for the Pit. I referenced seepage during heavy rains. We seep.
Most old houses seep, my brothers floods. Heavy rains not much wind, earlier I had wind not much rain.

Not quite like his, no lol.
But I have a pretty good memory of the big ones I lived through as a kid, and when they occurred.
I got the 79 PD 1 wrong cuz it didn’t make it up here, and so I Dont remember it...and thought that the Feb 83 storm was nicknamed PD1. Glad I know now that it wasn’t.
I believe Will is too young to remember the late 70’s and early 80’s snow storms...but he does his research, and speaks of them as if he lived through those... if I’m correct in thinking that Will is 40 yrs old or less???
I think Wills 103 but he looks much younger
