They're great and everything but they clearly missed the boat on December, but then again most have.
I believe Iso had December as the coldest relative to normal this season and they both had it colder than normal.
At this point most of us are colder than normal.

All these posts will be interesting to look at 3 months from now.
Either this period will be remembered as the panic before prosperity or a cruel foreshadowing into the winter that never was.
Hypothetically if this winter did end up like 97/98 then it would be the biggest forecast bust on record...unless you're a prophet like raindancewx.
Theres panic every year. There was panic before the 2015 blitz.

If what your saying is correct and the tank and leaching field are on the other side of lawn, this may be an underground drywell of some sort for roof runoff.
Possibly grey water.

We go with a rgem/euro combo. N of 84 get brushable while N of pike get plowable.
Sounds reasonable, lets see what the euro has coming up.

First day of Winter, it was my fathers birthday (would have been 94yrs young) very appropriate!
Yesterday I was discharged for the 6th time this year from the hospital. The little trip "home" caused clots to form, swelling of my lower limbs with discoloration and a little heart murmur, a killer cold contracted by one of my g-nephews or nieces. Throw in anything else one can think of... yet it was time to visit.
Thinking now my days are numbered (family visit, a forum gtg) for the holidays would have made this a special year. The famdamily...LOL
The best brother and sisters one could ever wish for.
All our days are numbered. We just all have different numbers.

Highly recommend everyone watch the series: The Last Alaskans on Animal Planet. Tonight is the beginning of season 4. I think you can netflix or on demand the first three seasons.
I've seen them praying for snow and they're near the north pole.

We had an indoor cat years ago that escaped in late Feb and never came back... or so we thought.
We were getting the lawnmower out of the shed in mid to late April and we hear a meow from what sounds like under the shed.
We couldn’t believe it... the cat was under the shed, and we lured her out with canned food. Appeared to be in fine health too. Survived nearly two months in hostile temps and weather.
We had an indoor cat that got out, 3 months later we figured a coyote got him or he died of starvation, one night he showed up on the deck, skinny as hell, fur matted and dirty, we had him for 10 more years before he died if old age.

VT and coastal ME are my retirement locale preferences.
35 year plan.
Mine too. We almost moved there 5 years ago but things didn't work out, my sister is in Cape neddick and she gets much more snow than I do in southern worc county.

Yep, being raised on the RI shore we caught and fed ourselves on everything ocean. I miss RI seafood so much. Nothing fresher than seafood from ocean to plate in 2 hrs.
Ever eat at the Lodge in Charlestown? seafood galore

funny DT story, I think it's late 2000, maybe the millennial storm. debates were getting heated on model runs, southern snows etc. DT doesn't know me from Adam but we are bantering. The phone rings at my office at Merrill Lynch, Mike it's Dave Tolleris I just don't see this thing hitting the northeast...blah blah. I couldn't believe the guy somehow tracked me down and called me lol
Did it hit the northeast?
