I have a feeling my golf match tomorrow won't happen. Our course seems to always get hit during these hot humid streaks.

I saw that blow up right over you, looks like it's just going to miss to my south
Didn't miss me, no wind like Kevin but another good show.

I would say it gusted close to 50. There’s a good amount of Oak debris everywhere. But the lightning was the most intense show I have ever seen. There was 3-4 minute period of just blast after blast right on top . It was almost non stop . Sirens are everywhere and the smell of wood is in the air . That was awesome man

I see some red radar just went through Tolland.

Depends what your definition of creamed and large city is. Dallas, suburbs of Chicago (just a few weeks ago) and Dayton, OH have been hit more recently. But I would put Joplin, Tuscaloosa, and Moore ahead of all those.
I was thinking of a congested city with high rises and office buildings.

Dallas?
Probably a good guess, I was thinking maybe somewhere in Kansas or Missouri

What's the largest city to get creamed by a tornado?

So there was a Korn Ferry Tour event in Falmouth, ME this past weekend. That would have been fun to attend.
I think at Ledges, one of my favorite courses when I go up to Maine, the Travellers was pretty good this past weekend, thought the playoff was going to go til dark.

Played Sunday River Golf Course yesterday. Truly a wonderful experience. I did not play well and it was insanely hot but I really enjoyed it. Voted tops in Maine and top 100 in the USA public course. The views are incredible!
I like Ledges and Dunegrass, ever try either?

Last time I saw that was when Rod Carew swallowed his tobacco running hard to first and keeled over and puked.

lol Richards
That could be 4 home runs in two innings, I say replace him with someone else til he gets his head on straight, if that can even happen.

The breeze made working outside tolerable today, not so sure the next three will be as tolerable.

It’s all about those spin rates baby ..and it is a BIG Deal . Watch the pitchers with double digit percent decline on Spin rates and watch the stats unravel . There is some luck with pitching so it may take a few starts if someone is getting lucky with balls hit hard for outs .
I love the pitcher tantrums
There was one guy who had a 3800 spin rate, something ridiculous, his slider would start out on the outer part of the plate and almost hit the batter in the shin.

Decided to go to Sox/Yanks tonight. Should be a great evening
Great game to go to Wiz, looked electric in the park, especially 8th and 9th innings.

Tuesday looks warm.
This is probably what I’ll be doing after work (pic from a couple years ago today). Walk out back and sit in the river… the water in the shade under the tree dips to chest deep, for easy cool-offs. From drinking an IPA and reading in the chair, to dipping down in the small pool… this is how we summer in New England.LOL, I thought it was a figure of speech when you said river sitting time that's awesome, wish I had a place like that to sit in near me.

Last few MAV runs have been 103-104. 12z run had 103F for 00z and actual is 107F.
18z MAV is 117F for tomorrow. I mean seriously wtf.
Has to be records set in BC too and as the heat moves east it gets pretty far north in Canada during the week.

They are selling fireworks everywhere in NJ. Are they now legal lol
Got myself some good fireworks
They're legal in Connecticut but the places I've been to only have roman candle type stuff and sparklers.

Definitely a boom year for chippies.
Chippies and rabbits, I've never seen so many rabbits in my life as I have this year.

I am shocked by the Habs. Islanders and lightning should be way better
A Goalie can win you a cup, I remember listening to one the local sports talk shows before the playoffs started and they were criticizing the Canadiens for paying Price so much, who's laughing now? Of course back then things looked great for the Bruins and the Canadiens were on the brink of not making the playoffs.

Lol. I have bitter Bruins fans for friends. Hockey is dead to them for the year.
I do too, they hate the Habs and the Yanks and will always root against them, not sure why they care. I just want to watch a few more games of good hockey.

I’m probably the lone Habs fan who posts in the NE forum. All you Bruins fans are going to support me right?
Edit: there is one other guy, is that you?
Sure, I'll support you, if the Bruins aren't in I usually don't care who wins, plus I'm French Canadien, family is from Quebec.

Canadiens just made the playoffs by a hair have rode their goalie to the finals, unbelievable.

According to this article it's been sinking a little each ear since the 90's

There's a pond on this abandoned golf course where we walk the dogs that has a large beaver family. We were watching them swim around one afternoon and I guess we got to close and one of them came near shore and started slapping his tail on the water in our direction.
